I could hear Selene's question through the phone as Allison handed it to her.
After the first bomb that Hector dropped on me a moment ago, I realized I might have to stay here for a while. I wouldn't be able to return home tonight like I had planned. I was going to have to stick around to finish up the talk with Hector. But I knew my little bunny would start to worry if I didn’t show up soon, especially since it was already getting dark outside.
So I called Allison and had her take the phone to Selene. I’ll have to see about getting her her own phone soon.
"Hello?"
Her soft voice flowed through the speaker, instantly calming me from the inside.
