Chapter 1:

Before her alarm clock even rang, Celeste’s emerald green eyes snapped open. The first thing she saw was the bouquet of fresh red roses sitting on top of her black wooden bedside table with her alarm clock and lamp. The flowers were wrapped in an expensive white-looking paper with an intricate gold design. The ray of sunlight coming out of the huge glass window behind her bed makes the colors of the flowers more vibrant, making it look almost magical. Sitting up, the duvet slipped off her body, revealing her white silky sleepwear with one of the straps falling off her shoulder as she reached for the flowers on the side. Her pinned straight black hair fell down on her back gracefully as she brought the bouquet to her nose, gently smelling the intoxicating scent it gave off which instantly brought a smile to her full red lips. Without even checking the card, she already knew who it was from. The thought of him made her heart flutter. Never did she think that she'd one day wake up and feel this overwhelming happiness that’s making her heart feel tight, but it has been like that since two months ago. Her smile widened as memories of seeing him for the first time came flooding her mind. She can still remember every emotion and feeling she felt that fateful day. Until now, everything feels so surreal for her and something that she has been waiting for and dreamed about is finally happening in a few hours. A knock snapped her out from daydreaming as she gently placed the bouquet on her lap. Arranging her nightdress, she cleared her throat to answer the person behind her bedroom door. “Come in,” The double doors of her room suddenly opened and four maids in uniform made their way inside. One of them closed the door as they all made a straight line formation in front of her. “Good morning, Alpha,” They all greeted her in sync and bowed their heads. “Good morning. Isn’t it too early for us to start the preparations?” “We need a lot of time to prepare you for your wedding day, Alpha,” one of the ladies named Fey replied. She had shoulder-length red hair with freckles all over her face, her blue eyes shining excitedly as she looked at their gorgeous leader. The other women are shyly taking a sneak peak at their Alpha, feeling the same way as Fey. In fact, there are a handful of house maids who want to be the ones to assist her, but the head maid has the final say for their assignments. They were just lucky to be assigned to her. She is like a goddess in their eyes, because Alpha Celeste is well known to be kind to the people who work under her and to her pack. “Ugh, it’s just-“ As if on cue, her alarm went off. The ringing sound makes the maids flinch a little, as werewolves have sensitive hearing. Reaching to her bedside, she turned her alarm clock off. “Sorry about that- and as I was saying, it’s just seven in the morning. It’s too early for me to get my hair and make-up done,” Celeste grumbled and crossed both of her arms. “B-But Alpha, that’s not the only thing you have to do. You have to have a full body massage, a relaxing bath, manicure, pedicure-“ Fey listed. “Stop. Hold up. Is that all necessary to do on your wedding day?” Celeste asked, furrowing her eyebrows as she raised one hand to stop Fey from going on her supposed schedule for the day that she didn’t even know about. “Yes Alpha,” “Who made you do this?” Celeste asked, her eyes squinting a little as if she had a bad feeling about it. The maid was about to answer when another female voice from outside her room suddenly announced the arrival of someone important and the double doors of her room suddenly opened as a gorgeous silver-haired woman with golden eyes suddenly waltzed in. Her hair is styled in an elegant bun exposing her lovely neck and shoulders as her green Sabrina satin-collar floor-length dress hugged her body perfectly. The maids immediately bowed their heads and greeted the beautiful woman. “We greet you good morning, your majesty the Queen Luna,” She was right. The orders must be from the Queen Luna. Why else would she be visiting her this early in the morning on her wedding day? Ever since that day that Helena gave birth to the Princess with her help, the two of them had slowly grown closer until they were practically each other’s best friends. Helena even asked her to be the princess’ godmother. “Well, hello, good morning ladies. Isn’t it a lovely day for a wedding?” Helena smiled at the maids as she acknowledged them with a nod, her eyes sparkling with excitement, but the moment she glanced at the woman who was still in bed, looking like she had just woken up, which immediately made the Queen Luna frown. “This is why I had a feeling I had to come here this morning. You were supposed to brush off my orders, weren’t you?” “I wasn’t. I did not even know that the orders came from you,” Celeste refused, her eyes widening in guilt as she gently moved the flowers off her lap. One of the maids was quick to go to her and take the bouquet away, while another maid walked towards her with a silk robe in hand, assisting her to wear it, which she did without further questions. Celeste didn’t usually ask her maids to do those simple things for her, but Helena’s watchful eyes made her swallow her protest. “Good. Then I assume you are on your way to go get that massage?” Helena said, excitement back in her voice as a smile once again graced her red lips, her eyes staring at the bouquet that was being carried by the maid. How romantic, she thought. Grunting, Celeste nodded her head in resignation, making the Queen’s smile widen. The maids are trying to suppress their smiles at the scene before them. It was a sight that they often witnessed as the Queen Luna is the only one that can make their Alpha do something she doesn’t want to do. Clapping her hands twice, the Queen Luna began ordering everyone around as the bride was pushed out of her room accompanied by a maid and, soon enough, the three-storey pack house was busy with the preparation of their Alpha’s wedding that would be held in the afternoon. Helena was checking everything that needed to be done for her friend’s wedding. She wanted it to be perfect for Celeste and so she volunteered herself to be the organizer of it, as knowing the bride she’d be okay with anything and not really bother with the details. When lunch came, Helena excused herself to get ready for the wedding and check on another stubborn woman who was Celeste’s maid of honor and, at the same time, the Queen’s personal warrior; Diurne. The Alpha female has no other friends but the two of them which no one can blame her for; too many snobby noble women. Celeste is currently sitting in front of a vanity table wearing a bridal robe; a famous werewolf hair stylist is doing her hair as another woman puts make-up on her face. Her body stiffed as she tried her best not to move around, her eyes following Helena through the mirror as she bid goodbye. The moment the door shut behind her, she immediately released a breath as if she had been holding it for a very long time; making the two women around her giggle. “She can really be scary,” she joked, winking at the two. Time passed by like a blur. The next thing Celeste knew, she was already standing alone behind the closed church door with her bouquet of white flowers in hand. She is wearing an elegant sleeveless spaghetti-strapped v-neck backless white gown that is made of the finest lace, hugging her sexy curves perfectly from her torso down to her knees before it flares out, creating a trail behind her. Her hair is in a French twist hairstyle with a diamond cladded accessory placed on top of the bun, holding the veil. Celeste could feel her hands sweating through her laced gloves that reached up to her elbows as her heart beat faster inside her chest. She could feel the butterflies inside her stomach fluttering as she thought about seeing her mate at the end of the aisle the moment she entered the church. “This is it. I’m really getting married,” she thought nervously, but she couldn’t help the smile that graced her lips. The two giant wooden double doors in front of her slowly opened. Celeste automatically sensed a lot of eyes on her but then a certain pair of eyes at the end of the aisle held hers captive. A bright smile graced his handsome face, giving her the courage to take the first step towards her happily-ever-after…or so she thought.
