Chapter 25

  Kehinde stares at the floor, after she had succeeded in changing the topic, What would she tell him? She loved someone and they had s*x, but he disappeared. Their relationship didnt even have a name. She suddenly becomes moody. She missed Ayomide. She missed him so much, his kisses, touch, smile, the way he talked and looked at her. She missed everything about him.

"Hey!" Precious says totally catching her attention. Kehinde let's out a small smile.

"What were you thinking about? I was talking to you, " Precious says.

"Sorry, what were you saying?" Kehinde asks.

"Seriously?" Precious asks faking being hurt.

"Drama Queen, " She says.

"Please, I'm not a girl, " Precious says, touching his chest in a dramatic manner.

"Do you play video games?" He asks quite excited, seeing power had been restored.

"Yeah, " Kehinde responds with a smile but realizes how she had really changed this few weeks, letting guys into her life, this wasn't her. The Kehinde  three months back, didnt give a f**k about any guy.

"Jasmine, Kia. You are always lost in your own world, " Precious says to Kehind, who smiles, even if she couldn't remember what he said.

   Immediately Kehinde sights Tolani, she picks up her phone and pretends to be so engrossed. Meanwhile, Teniola walks in following her like a lost puppy. She could hear Tolani's laughter and it was obviously annoying her.

This days Tolani wasn't really telling her things. They weren't as close like before. So she had decided to mind her business.

"Jasmine!" She hears Tolani call out to her.

"Tolani!" She responds still staring at her phone, busy doing nothing. She could tell Tolani was staring at her with a weird expression. While Teniola sat on the bed with a blank look on her face.

Tolani gives Kehinde a wield look before sitting down. She noticed Kehinde had changed so much and was wondering why. She knew Kehinde was keeping her distance. She silently wondered what she did wrong. She wanted to talk to her about it, but after the cold shoulder she had just given her. She thought she should just keep quiet in other not to spite her.

Kehinde quickly throws a glance on Tolani who just laid down with her face downwards, before turning to Teniola who still had a blank facial expression. She faces her phone immediately.

"Babyface!" He calls out.

  Kehinde knew who could call her such name, she lets out a small smile before turning to his direction.

"Mide!" She calls out making Precious smile. She sounded sexy whenever she pronounced that name, he liked it.

"What are you doing all alone?" Precious asks while he makes to sit close to her.

"I was suffocating inside. I just needed to clear my mind, "Kehinde blurts out. " And this my secret spot, you aren't suppose to be here, " She smiles out.

"That means I'm special, I'm the first guy to catch you in this secret spot of yours, " Precious says sounding Proud.

"You aren't serious, Who told you that?" Kehinde says with her mind drifting back to Ayomide.

"So someone else knows?" Precious says freing

"Silly boy, " Kehinde says hitting him playfully.

"Girl I'm almost twenty!" Precious exclaims.

"So?" Kehinde asks.

"I'm not your mate, " Precious says faking anger. Meanwhile, Kehinde laughs it off.

"Like seriously!"

"I'm not a boy, call me a man, " He says with a smile.

"I'm dead, " Kehinde says demonstrating, making Precious smile.

"You are not, can't you see my beard? Is it easy, " He says now touching his side beard with a smile on his face.

"Which beard?" Kehinde laughs. "Wait is it this small thing? Go and sit down please, " Kehinde says in mockery.

"You are mad, " He laughs.

"Chai, " Kehinde says.

"Don't you know it's an achievement?"

"Seriously, Achievement ni, Award ko, " Kehinde says amidst laughter.

"Look at how you are talking, have you ever dated a guy with half my beard?" Precious asks making Kehinde burst into laughter.

"Wait, which beard? This tiny thing, " Kehinde says now touching his beard.

"Oya remove this your tiny hand, " He says with a funny look on his face, making Kehinde smile while she withdraws her hand. "Tah, don't you know, most guys in their early twenties don't have any, me that is developing, you are busy mocking me, " Precious says now taking a proper look at Kehinde who was already lost in her own world. He uses this medium to take a good view of her.

    Kehinde let's out a smile, she was fully aware he was right. Her Ayomide had no beard. She thought with a smile on her face.

"Again, again. Why do you love zoning off?" Precious asks with a concerned look?

"You aren't serious, " Kehinde says after realizing what he said.

"Do you know you are beautiful?" Precious asks immediately throwing Kehinde off guards. She lets her mouth gasps open and close, her mouth sounding dry. She didnt know what to say.

"You are truly beautiful, " He says with a smile, making Kehinde more uncomfortable.

  Kehinde lets the tears flow freely, was she crying because of a guy? Was she really missing him? She missed Ayomide so much and wanted him back. She missed him so much, she always wondered why he left her. Didn't he love her? Was she just forcing herself on him? This were the questions that kept going through her mind, while the tears rolled down freely.

"Jasmine, you are crying, " Tolani says, making it sound more like a question. It was obvious she just got it. Kehinde totally ignores her and cleans her tears. She quickly adjust and sits on the bed.

Kehinde noticed they were the only ones in the room. She silently wondered were Tolani's right-hand woman Teniola was.

"Jaz, Why are you crying?" Tolani asks with a lot of concern on her face. Meanwhile, Kehinde hesitates a while before talking.

"Nothing, "

"Jasmine, why are you acting this way towards me?" Tolani asks quite touched.

"Nothing!"

"Jasmine," Tolani calls out softly.

"What!"

"Seriously?"

"Please go and keep your cousin company. Is it because she isn't around? Is that why you are bugging me?" Kehinde asks.

"Bugging you, Jasmine, " Tolani calls out letting tears flow down freely from her eyes. Kehinde who noticed this new development just throws her face towards another direction.

Tolani hesitates a while before touching Kehinde's left hand. Kehinde tries to get her hand off, but Tolani hold onto her.

"Jasmine, you are my cousin, my sister, my friend and best friend. I love you so much, and it hurts me when you behave this way towards me, cause I don't know what I did wrong to you, If I have offended you, you can always tell me," Tolani says calmly trying to fight the tears.

"When you are busy enjoying your time with your favourite cousin Teniola, why would you notice me?" Kehinde asks almost in tears. Meanwhile, Tolani whose mouth suddenly feels dry stares at her.

"Jasmine, " Tolani who finally understood what this was all about calls out. She could now tell why Kehinde attitude towards her changed totally.

"Tolani!" Kehinde calls out coldly.

"I'm sorry, " Tolani blurts out. She noticed as Kehinde facial expression soften. She could tell she wasn't as tough as she always presented herself.

Kehinde burst into tears, she couldn't take it anymore, Tolani envelopes her in a hug, and starts crying too.

"I'm sorry, " Kehinde says amidst tears.

"It's okay, I'm sorry for making you feel neglected," Tolani says.

"You didn't do anything, Lani I'm sorry, I was just being stupid and jealous. I was just feeling insecure and overprotective of you. I just wanted you to talk to only me. And give me all your attention. I was just being childish, " Kehinde cries out.

"Silly girl, I never knew you were this jealous, " Tolani says trying to smile while she cleans her tears.

"I'm sorry, " Kehinde says.

"I'm sorry too, " Tolani responds.

"I just miss him, " Kehinde blurts out.

"Who?" Tolani who didnt understand what she was talking about asks.

"Ayomide!"

Tolani takes a good look at her cousin who was looking to pale before saying a word.

"I thought you have gotten over him!" Tolani says.

"I can't, " Kehinde cries out.

"Kehinde, you are looking so pale. Don't fall sick. Forget about Ayomide. We have no idea where he went to. Just forget everything about him and move on, he is just a phase, " Tolani says.

"Lani, do you think it's easy?" Kehinde asks calmly.

"I know it isn't. But you can give it a shot." Tolani says with a weak smile.

"I can't, " Kehinde burst into tears.

"Kehinde, you have to get over him, no one has heard about him this past weeks, " Tolani says to Kehinde who sobs aloud.
