Chapter 6

"Kehinde!" Iya ibeji calls out catching Tolani's attention, Tolani couldn't help but turn to her mum and for the first time she notices her cousin.

"Aunt," Kehinde calls out.

"Hope you aren't having any problems coping?" Iya Ibegi asks her niece.

"Not at all ma!" Kehinde responds with a smile, she watches her aunt turned to her cousin.

"Hope you are keeping your cousin here company? Don't let her have problems during her stay," Iya Ibegi warns meanwhile Tolani couldn't help but glance at her cousin...

"Yes mum, " Tolani says jumping like a soldier while Kehinde couldn't help but smile meanwhile Tolani notices her one-sided dimple and smiles back.

"Alfa," Iya ibeji says while she heads towards the door, immediately she walked out Tolani jumps on top of her bed again, making Kehinde wonder.

" Was she really a snub?" Kehinde asks herself while she picks up her phone for the first time, She quickly unlocked it and plays a music, she smiles out while "I don't care" by Ed Sheeran & Justin bibber blasted the air buts becomes alert when she hears Tolani's voice.

"Who sang that song?" Tolani asks while raising her head from the asks.

"Ed Sheran & Justin Bieber," Kehinde found herself replying.

"Okay!" Tolani says but falls silent again meanwhile Kehinde couldn't help but wonder what was wrong with her, She couldn't approach her neither, cause she sucks at making friends, so she just ignored her like she did.

   Ayomide picks up his holy Qur'an and heads out of his room, he quickly locks his door on getting out, he smiles when he sight Istinjabat.

"Good evening!" She greets in Yoruba.

"How are you?" He asks.

"Fine, thank you!" Istinjabat responds.

"In case anyone asks about me, I Am off to the mosque," Ayomide says meanwhile Istinjabat let's out a small.

"Okay!" She responds.

"Thank you," He says while he hurriedly walked out.

  Kehinde stands all by herself feeling irritated, She couldn't talk to anyone and she hated herself for being so reserved.

She wanted to take her bath, but didn't know where the bathroom was and it wasn't like her room that had a bathroom inside, She hisses after realizing, she quickly looks around, her cousin Tolani was fast asleep and the other girls who she didn't know their names, were also sleeping, She hisses after realizing it and quickly attempts standing up but comes face to face with Istinjabat who just walked in.

"Any problem?" Istinjabat asks noticing how tensed she was.

"Sorry, just needed to use the bathroom, Don't know where it is located, "She says innocently.

"Immediately you leave the room, Look ahead it isn't far," Istinjabat replies with a smile.

"Thank you, I really appreciate," Kehinde says.

"No problem!" Istinjabat says before retiring to bed meanwhile Kehinde quickly pulls up her traveling boxes, and start rummaging in it, It then dawned on her that she forgot her towel, "How stupid of her," she thought, "how am I going to take my bath" she wonders while she turns to Istinjabat.

"How can I disturb her" She asks while she turned to Tolani who was fast asleep, remembering vividly they didn't really talk, She hisses and puts on her flip flops. She quickly picks up her toiletries and heads out.

She quietly follows the direction and finds herself in front of the bathroom, It wasn't really far from the room, she noted while she walked in, she quickly takes a bucket, This isn't hygienic she suddenly to herself suddenly feeling irritated.

How could she take her bath in such a bathroom? She thought when It finally dawned on her, it wouldn't be just for that but for the next twelve months.

"f**k!" She mutters while she stripped herself n***d, and pours the water on her body, she was really freezing, she quickly picks up her sponge and soap.

She takes her bath consciously. When she is done she deliberates on putting on her previous dress or not, Seeing the room wasn't that far she picks up her toiletries and clothes before dashing out n***d, been fully aware there was light and hoping she doesn't bump into anyone. Ahe tries to make her way to the room but halts in shock when she bumps into someone, it wasn't Tobi she thought, He was slim, Dark skinned, his mouth gasped open and close while he stared at her, she quickly screams and runs back into the bathroom feeling very embarrassed.

  Kehinde yawns while she gets up from the bed, She looked around only to find out she was the only one in the room, she hisses because she was really feeling weak, Her head was pounding, she frowns on remembering the incident that ensured the previous night, He saw her n***d, Who was he? She thought cause she hadn't noticed him since she got into the house.

She hisses after remembering how embarrassed she felt, And the fool just stood there obviously staring at his mother's f*****g nakedness She thought with a frown, She becomes self-conscious when someone walked into the room, She didn't recognize the person and secretly wondered who she was.

She just stared at the dark lady in front of her

"Do I look like a ghost?" The girl asks cutting through her thoughts.

"Mmmm" She stammers.

"Please get up, you are lying on my position," The girl says rudely meanwhile Kehinde stares at the girl still wondering.

"Are you deaf or something? The girl asks Kehinde who quickly stands up, It was obvious she didn't want trouble, While getting up she collides with the girl making their head hit one another.

"Are you mad?" The girl screams out.

"Ouch!" Kehinde says obviously in pains.

"Seems like you are very stupid," The girl says.

"Fatiah why are you raking, You are at fault also," Someone says from behind, making both girls turn around to see who it was.

"Oh, madam Tolani is here," Fatiah says madam.

" I don't know what you are on about but my cousin here is not at fault, You both bumped into each other, " Tolani says calmly.

"Peacemaker!" Fatiah hisses and turns to Kehinde who was just watching the whole drama.

"I don't know who you are, I just want you to know you are occupying my space, please vacate!" Fatiah says rudely before storming out of the room, leaving Kehinde and Tolani all by themselves.

They both stare at each other in silence, for a few minutes before Tolani breaks the silence feeling tensed.

"Am sorry, that's how she is," Tolani pleads.

"Oh no, sorry about what?" Kehinde asks, You didn't do anything she says.

"Just ignore her, and the next time she does that, don't stay quiet cause she is going to try to ride you," Tolani says with a frown.

"No problem, thanks for standing up for me," Kehinde says quite delighted.

"What!" Tolani exclaims "If I don't stand up for my baby cousin who will?" She asks with a small smile, meanwhile Kehinde couldn't help but return the smile.

"Thanks!" She says while she attempts to walk back to the bed.

"Don't tell me you are going over to that witch's corner, White pant I don't have oh," Tolani says while demonstrating making Kehinde to laugh so hard, Tolani who noticed how hard her cousin was laughing, suddenly joins her while they quickly carry her traveling boxes all the way from Fatiah corner to her's.

"Hey! what's this? Did u bring everything In Lagos down here? It's so weighty," Tolani says with a smile meanwhile Kehinde couldn't help but notice she spoke proper English, No hint of Yoruba accent, too good for someone who hasn't explored she thought.
