Chapter 16

"Kehinde," Ayomide calls out meanwhile she turns to him and smiles, she knew he couldn't see her, but he guessed it was her and she was happy about it.

"Hey!" She says while stepping down.

"Happy birthday," He says

"Thank you," Kehinde replies politely.

"Would get you something," Ayomide says.

"Don't worry, no need for that, your well wish is enough," Kehinde replies politely.

There is silence for some time, Kehinde tries her best to control how tensed she felt cause she couldn't deny the fact he always had this impact on her.

"You miss home don't you?" Ayomide asks trying to clear the tension that was obviously building up. Meanwhile, Kehinde smiles and keeps mute.

"So, do you have a twin?" Ayomide asks trying to get her attention. meanwhile, Kehinde couldn't help but get moody.

"A twin brother," She replies bitterly

"He was my only brother."

"Was?"Ayomide found himself asking.

"He is dead, he died five years ago," Kehinde responds.

"I'm really sorry," he found himself saying.

"I really miss him, I feel very lonely cause no one loves or cares for me. Even my parents, no one cares," Kehinde says trying so hard not to break down.

"Who said your parents don't care about you?" Ayomide asks calmly.

"They don't, if they do I wouldn't have been dumped here. They don't care about me, they only care about themselves. They didn't even call to wish me happy birthday," She stutter's now sobbing aloud. This act makes Ayomide take her by her left hand.

"Hey, it's okay, stop birthday," Ayomide consoles.

Ayomide is completely thrown aback when Kehinde envelopes him in a hug. She buries her face on his chest while she cried meanwhile Ayomide pats her back. Still filled with emotions it starts raining.

"Let's go inside," Ayomide panics cause of how heavy the rain started, they were too engrossed to notice the early signs. He gets up and helps her too, he doesn't release her hand.

They both walk into the yard hand in hand.

The yard seems quite, seems like everyone has gone to bed, most of the bulbs were still on. Ayomide quickly turns to Kehinde whose eyes were bloodshot

"Are you coming in?" He asks casually meanwhile Kehinde let's out a weak smile.

"Should I come in?" She asks with a smile. Ayomide looks at her with disbelief, he didn't understand how she easily switched moods.

"You aren't serious," Ayomide says while unlocking his door. As soon as the door gets open Kehinde runs in like a little girl while Ayomide smiles wondering how babyish she could be most times.

"Big baby," He blurts out by Kehinde, making Kehinde turn to him flashing her million-dollar smile.

"Isn't that nickname just tush? "She asks sounding like a little girl meanwhile Ayomide makes himself comfortable on his bed. Kehinde join almost immediately, she doesn't leave any space between them.

Their body makes contact, Kehinde shivers within. Meanwhile, Ayomide couldn't help but wonder while he was suddenly feeling tensed. The rain pour is audible and it seems like it wasn't stopping anytime soon.

"How will you live for your room? It doesn't seem like the rain would stop anytime soon," Ayomide says breaking the wierld silence.

"Don't know," Kehinde replies in a carefree manner.

"They will think you have gone to party again," Ayomide says with a smile.

"Tolani knows I won't leave for such without telling her, just that malicious Fatiah. She will always find something interesting to say," Kehinde says and doesn't fail to notice how Ayomide reacted to the name she just mentioned.

She stands on her feet trying to adjust her bum short, she was damn sure Ayomide's gaze was on her and he clears her doubts.

"Kehinde isn't this too short to be moving around with?" Ayomide asks wetting his dry lips. Meanwhile, Kehinde let out a faint smile.

"And why is he complaining?" She asks now turning to his direction. You arent the person going around on it, it's me" She rolls her eyes

"Don't see how it affects you,"

"Woah, calm down. I'm just stating the fact, different young men from the mosque come over all the time, it is...,"

"Is it distracting you? speak for yourself," Kehinde says earning a stern look from him.

"Just saying it out of moral, " Ayomide couldn't help but says and he didn't fail to notice Kehinde change in countenance.

"But I'm more comfortable in this," She says meanwhile Ayomide checks his wristwatch.

It was already past ten and it was still raining cats and dogs, Thunder strikes making Kehinde jump on Ayomide without thinking. Her head remains buried on his chest while it continues for some time.

He lets out a small chuckle cause he just found out she was scared of lightning and Thunder. immediately they disengage his notices she was biting her lower lips and this act was really attracting him to the inviting lips meanwhile Kehinde notices how awkward he was behaving and did something he never expected. She steals a kiss from him, Ayomide lets his mouth gasps open and close.

"That was what you were thinking of doing, don't deny It," She says catching him by surprise.

"Says who?"

"Your eyes betrayed you" Kehinde smiles out.

"Kehinde!"

"Let's just stop this, why try to kill what isn't willing to die? I know you want me just like I do" Kehinde says not minding the fact she was acting too cheap, love makes people do the craziest things most times.

When did she fall for him? The day she heard his voice? The day she ran into him n***d? The day he opened the door for her? When, where, how? These thoughts keep going through her head. She didn't notice when Ayomide drew closer to her, she was taken aback when the soft lips were placed on her.

Ayomide didn't waste any time he let his tongue wander in trying to taste every of her, his tongue wonders in every area of her mouth wanting to taste it. She lets out a small moan making it obvious she was enjoying it.

Ayomide steadies her on his laps, the kiss becomes intense that she feels his hand carelessly on her laps. That was when it dawned on her something was poking her underneath which was obviously his erection. He was really hard, they make eye contact when he drops her on the bed. She could see the look of l**t, want, desire in his eyes.

He quickly devoured her lips again, this time around his hands had already found ways into her blouse.

She shivers when his hands get in contact with her bare skin, she feels him squeeze her boobs, this time she let's out a loud moan meanwhile his hands gets down to her laps again, this time struggling with her button.

Her brain finally clicks, she pushes him off herself immediately.
