Tobi let out a chuckle, which makes Kehinde furious, If her eyes were to be a g*n, Tobi would have dropped dead immediately. She hisses while she hurriedly walked out of the yard. Wondering why she was always bumping into him whenever she was leaving Ayomide's room. On finding a secluded place to sit, she lets out everything, the tears seem unending. "Always rejected," She says while she cries out, she really missed her brother and she has always felt alone even if she always tries to suppress it. For the past few days she has been trying to feel happy, even though she knew within her she wasn't happy. She tried to force it out, she tried to pretend but deep down she knew she was all alone. Her parents don't love her, "nobody does" she cries out wondering why the Alfa treated her had such an effect on her. She never gave a damn before and she always treated guys like s**t. "Why did he have such an effect on me?" She asks herself letting the tears flow freely. "You know it can't work, he is an Alfa and you are a Christian, why did you let your heart love him?" Someone says. Startled she looked up wondering who caught her in her hiding place shedding tears. "You again." She says after sighting Tobi. "Yes, me again," Tobi responds sarcastically, with a cunning smile. He always looked handsome, and today was no exception, he smiled to himself while he settled down close to her. "How did you find me?" Kehinde asks while she cleaned her tears, with her hands meanwhile Tobi gives her a towel which she reluctantly takes. "This Is my secret spot, you invaded my privacy," Tobi says with a smile. "Like you weren't following me," Kehinde responds like she was talking to herself. "Hell No!" Tobi exclaims. "You don't know what you look like now, swear you look like a tomato," Tobi says with a smile that Kehinde couldn't help but return. She knew she was always comfortable with Tobi, he always reminded her of her twin brother, who was also mischievous. "Tobi I'm not in the mood," Kehinde says. "He made you like this right?" Tobi asks in a serious tone. "Who?" Kehinde asks totally confused. "Ayomide, the youngest Alfa who is staying in our house for the main time," Tobi says like he was introducing the Alfa to someone who didn't know him. "Hell no, what are you even saying?" Kehinde asks. "What's between you two?" Tobi blurts out making Kehinde give him a weird look. "Tobi, what are you even saying? Have you forgotten I just got here? haven't even been here for so long." Kehinde defends with a serious look on her face. "What do you want me to think? This is the second time I am seeing you coming out of his room and what a perfect coincidence, I met you crying a few minutes later," Tobi says meanwhile Kehinde burst into laughter, while Tobi looks at her shocked at her outburst. "What's amusing this one?" He asks. "Seriously?" Kehinde asks in laughter. "What!" Tobi says "Me and your Alfa, I'm dead" Kehinde says amidst laughter. "Insult me well Iyaa." She says. "What?" Tobi asks. "Does he look like my type?" Kehinde asks. "Stop abeg, don't make him look like he isn't something to drool over, the guy is cute and young that's why I hate him," Tobi confesses. "Seriously?" Kehinde asks surprised at her cousin's outburst. "Almost all single ladies who are ripe for marriage in the mosque have been trying there best to impress him. Even girls who used to drool over me are just talking about him, Like why didn't they post any other person? Like someone older, the guy is just too cute, and to top it up, he has a great dress sense." Tobi says with a frown why Kehinde couldn't stop laughing. She knew how hard it was for him to admit such about his follow guy. "Wait, is that why you don't like him?" Kehinde asks. "Not like, but hate," Tobi says childishly. "Tobi, please I can't die before my," Kehinde says. "But you know your cousin can't drool over him na, she has class, Can't you see that the girls in the house got class?" She asks with a smile. "Let me hear, can't you see how Fatiah almost throws herself over him? She is always the one to send his food to him, that girl is looking for a husband," Tobi says with a mock smile. "Seriously?" "So what were you looking for in his room? Tobi asks sounding serious. "You too like amibour," Kehinde says before explaining everything to him, right from the party but leaving out the part he was rude to her. "So Tolani has bewitched you?" Tobi found himself saying. "No oh, I worse than Lani, I party a lot, don't even know why they see it as one bad thing," Kehinde says "Ehen na, Kehinde you will accompany me to the mosque today oh?" Tobi says scratching the back of his head. "Not Kehinde but Jasmine." Surprised she wasn't angry with him she smiles. "But your name is Kehinde?" Tobi asks. "I prefer Jasmine," Kehinde responds "Hope Jaz is okay?" Tobi asks. "Yeah." Kehinde responds. Tobi narrates why he wanted her to accompany him to the mosque, she accepts not after telling him how ridiculous he was. ★ ★ ★ "Jasminu." Iya Istinjabat calls out in a thick Yoruba accent. Kehinde who was peacefully retiring to the girl's room, after having a talk with Tobi and also feeling exhausted hisses before turning to reply to her. "Ma," She responds, with the argument that ensured the order day still fresh in her mind, she hated the woman and it was obvious. "Ah, take this food to the alfa's room," Iya Istinjabat says to Kehinde who had started boiling in anger, she hisses not allowing it to get to the ears of Iya Istinjabat. "Jasminu," Iya Istinjabat calls out again. "I heard you ma," Kehinde says quite frustrated regretting why she came back to the yard. She frown while she walks into the kitchen. " Wash those plates first," Iya Isinjabat says meanwhile Kehinde gives her a deadly glare which she didn't notice. "This woman is really an opportunist," Kehinde mutters in anger. "You know, am training you so you could be useful in your husband's house," Iya Isinjabat says like she was reading Kehinde's mind. "Like am useless na," Kehinde mutters while she gets to work. ★ ★ ★ ★ Ayomide who looked really in serious pain lets out a groan. He was really looking pale and the last money he had was used up, he tries to sit up but to no avail. The fact he had no money on him bothered him, he didn't want to disturb anyone, still in pains, he rolls to the other side of the bed, he temperature was really high, he could feel it. He hisses on hearing the knock on the door, remembering he didn't lock the door after Kehinde left. He quickly tells the person to come in that the door isn't locked. Immediately Kehinde walks in he turns to her weakly. "What are you doing here? Thought I asked you to leave?" He asks. "Like I care, Iya Istinjabat asked me to bring in your food, I know you aren't blind and you can see the tray in my hands," Kehinde fires rolling her eyes the same time. "Fine, drop it and leave," Ayomide says in a rather calm manner. "Like I am dying to spend any minute with you," she rolls her eyes. You suffocate me. The time around she could see whatever she said had an effect on him. He was really hurting cause his eyes were bloodshot and he looked pale was he sick she wonders while she tries to place the tray close to him but misses her step and falls almost on top of him, her hand touching his chest. She pulls away quickly due to how hot he felt, he was really burning up she noticed. "What's wrong with you?" She asks looking at him with concern written all over her face. "Nothing," he replies dryly. "Are you okay? You are burning up and telling me nothing, have you taking pills?" She asks. "No," Ayomide says feeling restless. "Why?" She asks with a soft gaze. "Don't have money on me and...," "And what"? Kehinde cuts him off. "Couldn't you tell Alhaja, do you want to kill yourself?" Kehinde quires like a mother scolding her son for doing something wrong. Meanwhile Ayomide couldn't help but notice how concerned she was. He watches her storm out of the room without uttering another word.
