The teenager led Lee, Will, and Helen through the park past the abandoned theme park rides. They walked past the Smiler, thick green tendrils wrapped around its tracks, strange, white flowers hanging from the vines that Lee had never seen before. Through the tangle of growth, the Smiler logo still grinned at them. The girl took them to a restaurant, leading them between tables which were surprisingly clean and neatly laid out. Two younger children were setting cutlery out and Lee was reminded of the efficiency of the commune in the Botanical Gardens.
