Chapter Two

2. It's time to party. Continued from One Year Ago... Marco and I had finally arrived at the packhouse. I could tell the party had already started kicking off because I could hear music blaring from the driveway before we even reached the front porch. My face burned a bright red whilst my nose started flaring. "Georgia! I am so going to kill you!" I growled. The faster I walked, the louder the music got. "Oh yes! You are going to die today!" I groaned. I had told her I wanted a small party, nothing too big, fancy or over the top. That I just wanted a party with a few pack members. An image of me stabbing her multiple times, popped up into my head. Then, a smile started tugging the corners of my mouth. I wouldn't kill her but in my mind, there is no harm. Stepping inside, dragging poor Marco with me. All I could hear was the song it's hot in here by Nelly. The music grew louder and louder the closer I got to the main hall. Where the party is supposed to be. It was so loud I couldn't even hear myself think. Let alone hear Marco crying. "What the hell is going on!" I growled, slamming the door open. Immediately the pack's eyes snapped to mine and the entire hall fell silent. I could hear crickets singing, it was that quiet. Georgia cut the music off immediately once she saw my unhappy face and I walked past each member with my head held high, with authority until I reached Georgia on the stage. I heard a few whispers here and there from the pack but they all bowed their heads to me as I walked past. The hall was filled with children, babies, adults and elders. Some were dressed up in superhero costumes and some dressed up to go out clubbing. "Ah Luna, you are here" Georgia murmured, smiling from ear to ear. I was so angry, that my eyes could set her on fire, by the way, I glared at her but then she pulled me into a giant hug and I felt the anger slip through me. I could never stay angry at her and I think she knew that. She took a step back and I grinned. Though I was pissed that I wanted a small party. She did do well with the party. "Good evening everyone.' I spoke into the microphone. I called you all here as I have an announcement to make tonight. I would love to share the news with you but you know, we all have to wait. Anyhoo, I hope you all enjoy your night. Eat, sip and dance but please bear in mind we have children present. So, please keep the music at a reasonable level. Thank you all again and let's get this party started!" I smiled. The hall fell silent for a moment before the pack went wild, cheering and howling. I laughed as the howling and cheers grew louder. I made my way off the stage, greeting everyone pack member that I passed, then I placed Marco with the night carer in the playpen before meeting up with Georgia again. "Hey mama! 'she whispered so low that only I could hear. What you think?" she smiled, waving her hand around the hall. I smiled, giving her a big hug. "It turned out well. 'I replied. Thank you so much. I would have not been able to do it without!" I muttered. She rubbed my back warmly while we stood in comfortable silence. "So, wheres the guest of honour?" she questioned. "I don't know,' I shrugged. I did tell him to pick up some chocolate croissants before arriving here. He's probably doing just that" I replied. As if he heard my words, Marcus finally arrived holding a large box of chocolate croissants with an infuriated look upon his face. Something had killed his whole mood that night and having a party right now, wasn't making it better. Marcus forcefully placed the box on the nearby food table, glared at me before grabbing onto my arm tight and begun dragging me outside the main hall. "Marcus! What on earth are you doing!" Georgia snapped. His eyes snapped to Georgia then back at mine. He growled in his alpha voice. Which sent chills through my body. Exactly, what I didn't want right now. I admired it when he was being all alpha but my hormones needed to know, that right now wasn't the time nor place. Georgia bowed her head in submission. Which, made me upset. If I wanted too I could rip his head clean off his shoulders with one snap of a finger, just for treating my best friend like that. Though, if I did do that. The pack would not only disrespect me but they will probably be rogues because they wouldn't have an Alpha. "Babe! What's going on?" I questioned. He didn't answer as he continued to drag me outside of the main hall. His grip on my arm tightened. I knew for sure that it was going to leave a massive bruise. Once we made it outside the main hall. I forced my arm out of his grip. "Mr Black, what the hell is going on and why are you so angry?! What happened?!" I growled. "Where were you this morning!" he growled back. "What do you mean!" I replied. "Mrs Black, I need you to answer me right now! Where WERE you!" he questioned again. This time he used his alpha tone. I gazed into his eyes, trying to figure him out but nothing. His Alpha tone maybe is powerful but I was stronger and I could choose not to obey. "Nowhere! I was at home. I cooked breakfast for you this morning, remember?!" I lied. It was his turn to gaze into my eyes but this time, the way he glared. It was as if he no longer knew who I was anymore. "Come on Marcus! Let's go inside. I have something to tell you but I have to tell you, once we are inside!" I said soothingly, attempting to calm him down. Just then his anger rise. I could feel the heat of his rage radiating off his body. "YOU GO!" He barked. "No! We go!" I growled. This time gripping my hand over his wrist, trying to drag him inside with me. Suddenly, I felt my feet were no longer touching the ground as I went flying through the air. My back landing hard against the staircase. Blood was tinkling down my face. "What the hell Marcus!" I grunted, trying to get up on to my feet. "Why are you lying to me, Larissa! Every morning I hear you get up! Where do you go huh!" he growled. I glanced down at my feet before glaring back at him. "Please Logan, I will explain everything inside. Just please!" I cried. Tears stinging my eyes as they fell. "Why won't you tell me now huh!" he growled a little louder than usual. Tears continuing to fall as the pack slowly gathered behind him. Gasping and staring. Muttering to one another. "Logan please!" I cried, trying to take a step towards him while holding my hand out for him to grab. "You did this to yourself!" He growled before everything around me went black. -Two day's Later- Waking up is no longer the pleasure it was. My lids that were drooping and leaden with sleep snap open as violently as if I'd been woken by the raid sirens wailing. Instead of the raid sirens, it was a machine beeping. 'Beep... Beep... Beep' it went. My eyes stinging the wider I opened them. "Where am I?" I wondered, trying to take in the scene before me. My heart began racing as I took a look at my surroundings. "How the heck did I end up in the hospital?' I thought to myself. Suddenly a big warm hand wrapped around mine. I gazed at it before following it to see whom this hand belonged to. When I saw whom it belonged to my breath caught in my throat. The events from last night rolled through my mind as if I was re-living a television scene. I croaked out " Logan?". His eyes snapped open before tears fell from his face. "Larissa! Please forgive me!" he cried. The moment I saw his puffy eyes, unshaven beard and messy hair. I knew something bad had happened and I was right. Something bad did happen, something that had permanently changed our life because, I just found out, that I lost our child. That we lost a child. Present-day. I still remember it as if it happened just yesterday. To this day Logan has not forgiven himself for what he had done to me and this day, we still have spoken. Though, I knew we would eventually have to talk soon because today our son turns five.
