Aurora didn’t know how to respond to this. Nor did she see this coming.
“Why do you want to get back with me anyway? And what about Chloe?” Aurora asked.
Damien frowned, “What about her? I am talking about us.”
“Isn’t she the love of your life?” Aurora questioned, “You only married me because I am your mate. Your heart was with Chloe. I thought you were going to marry her right after I was gone…But why didn’t you do it?”
The furrow between Damien’s brows grew deeper.
“Nonsense. Who told you that Chloe is the love of my life?” he asked.
“…Everyone,” Aurora said.
