I can't sit still. I can feel Leon's emotions going haywire. One second, he's sad, he's angry... Now he's worried. My eyes are constantly fixated on the door waiting for him to walk through.
"Leon will be fine," Ruby, his mom, reassured me from across from the kitchen table. It was nice of her, but it didn't work.
I sighed and nodded. "Caleb wouldn't be happy we haven't given you a proper welcoming," she tittered.
I shook my head. "Nonsense." I swished my hand through the air. "The pack need to grieve." I comforted.
She smiled and touched my hand on the table. "I'm so glad he has you." She commented.
"I'm lucky to have him," I returned, squeezing her hand.
