Present day

I was reading my book sat on my sofa, trying to push the memories out of my head.

my brother walked in and smiled and shouted, "whats up?".

"REALLY? HOW CAN YOU ACT LIKE NOTHING HAPPEND? HOW CAN YOU JUST GO ON LIKE THEY WERE NEVER HEAR? IT WAS THE WORST DAY OF MY LIFE AND YOU WASNT HERE, BUT YET YOU CAN STILL ASK ME WHATS UP!!" I screamed.

"WOAH..CALM DOWN KIDDO!! OF course I try to get on with my life for you, I have to be strong sis, the past year you've pushed everyone away, I know its hard for you but it is also hard for me to see you suffer, I know I wasn't here for you but rember I am now and I want to help you." he said as tears were streaming down my face.

Niko pulled in me to his chest and sighed.

"Zaria.. you've just turned 18, you've not gone out with friends, you go to school and come home, I'm not asking you to live like this never happend because I won't but I'm telling you to go and live your life because mum and dad wouldn't want you to do this and suffer!".

I cried and cried, I know he's right but how can I go on? mum and dad missed my 18th birthday they promised me they would be here and we do things together, their missing my graduation, my wedding, there grandchildren growing up.

I looked at Niko and noticed tears were dropping, I wiped his face and he smiled.

"I'm sorry bro, I just never thought it would be us who's had to suffer like this, we didn't deserve it, they didn't deserve it." I sobbed .

"I know, but we need to just try and be happy like they would want let's do this for them shall we?" he asked.

"okay." I replied..

He smiled. "Go upstairs and get dressed. you have 1 hour".

I looked at him confused.

" don't ask just go!"he demanded.

I looked at him and briefly laughed.
