Summer's Pov I didn't wait for James. I grabbed a cab the second I was far enough from the ice cream place and sat in the back watching the streets pass and trying to slow my heartbeat down to something reasonable. Gray had said nothing urgent. But nothing urgent from someone who had just told me his brain was slowly working against him felt very urgent to me. When I got home I went straight upstairs and knocked on his bedroom door. Nothing.
