Summer’s Pov
We settled into the car and Crew connected everything so we could both hear clearly through the earpieces, and then he reached into the back seat and pulled out a paper bag.
"I brought snacks," he said.
I looked at him. "That's actually really thoughtful."
I hadn't eaten properly since yesterday and my stomach had been too knotted with everything going on to remind me. But when I opened the bag and saw the pizza slices and juice boxes something in my body just gave up being dramatic and chose hunger instead.
I started eating immediately.
"Slow down," Crew said. "You're going to choke."
I said something back but my mouth was completely full so it came out as nothing recognizable and I covered my mouth with my hand and kept chewing.
Crew laughed.
