Narrator's POV
As she suns, she looks back to see him chasing her. Laughing out loud, she continues to run around the halls of the castle. Reaching a dead end, she curses a bit before facing the man that is now in front of her.
"You.I.can't.keep.running.like.this.too.much," the man says as he tries to catch his breathe. Finally being able to breath, he continues. "Love, I swear you might be 17, but have the energy of a 5 year old." He moves closer to her and wraps his arms around her waist.
"If I knew that Prince Timothy of the Fairy Kingdom can't keep up, then how can he keep me as his one and only?". She laughs as he pouts.
"I will always be able to keep you by my side, Princess Willow."
"Last time I have checked, we are not married yet, so I can't technically be the princess of the kingdom."
"Very soon you will. And once you are, I'll make sure that we watch over the kingdom side-by-side." Timothy leans into Willow's space and gently kisses her lips. When they pull apart, they keep their foreheads touching while his hand touches her cheek. "I love you Willow. In this life and the next until the end of time."
"I love you too with every fiber of my being," Willow says as she kisses his lips quickly. "Alright, I have to go meet your mother before she catches us, again. Last time still keeps me up at night," before she can let go, he whispers,
"My mother may be the queen, but I'll protect you from anyone and anything."
"Isn't that your father coming this way?," Timothy lets go of her and turns to greet his father, only for there to be no one behind him. When he turns back to Willow, he sees her gone and is already running back down the hall. He smiles to himself before going to get his woman before she goes too far.
Tom's POV
Man, I hate being a teenager again. If my job didn't include me having to be around a bunch of hormonal teenagers, I wouldn't even be here. The outfit that my friend picked out for me is not my style at all, but it will have to do until I have what I came for.
"Prince Ti,... I mean Tom," my friend Eric began to say as he enters my room. "Are you finally ready to go. We can't miss our first day at a new school. Especially with the time limit we have."
I put on my jacket as I make my way out of the room. Eric is standing near the doorway with his arms crossed.
"Someone is looking like they are trying to impress," Eric pulls off the wall and puts a hand on my shoulder. "Listen, I know what we came to do will be difficult to accomplish, but we got this. In no time, we'll be able to return with our co-leader."
Hopefully, he is right. I had a dream last night, well more like a memory. Every time I sleep, I can't help but miss my Willow. She was the most precious person in my world, but not enough to keep her by my side. Willow will always have my heart, no matter what.
Before I know it, Eric is shaking the car keys in front of me and we head out. I have no idea how he manages to drive it because cars like ours still weird me out. As I sit in the car, I can't help but be a bit worried about what is yet to come when we reach our destination. I look out my window as Eric drives towards the school.
Once the car is parked at the high school, I get out of the car and look into the sky. Man, did I mention that I hate school?
"Listen Tom. Don't stress out too much. You got 8 months to do what needs to be done and then we can leave. Acting like a teenager was not part of my job description, but I'll do it for a good friend." Eric says as he walks past me. One more glance at the sky, I let out a deep sigh and make my way into the school.
After leaving the office with my new schedule, I see that my class starts in about 3 minutes. It's a good thing that I had a tour of the school the day beforehand to know where I'll be going. I might as well go to my locker to grab what I need for my first period. While I make my way down the hall, I see a guy walking opposite of me not looking at where he's going. Maybe I'll "bump" into him and make myself a new friend in this, since I'm stuck here for a while.
I continued forward until we hit each other. When the other guy looks up, the first thing I noticed was the color of his eyes. I have never met this guy before in my life, but his eyes are saying something else. As if I've spend my life staring at them. When he starts talking, it's almost as if I was in a trance.
My heart started beating a bit fast just from learning his name. Johnny, Johnny, Johnny. I don't know why it's affecting me like this, but I wouldn't mind seeing where the journey takes me. As long as I keep focus in my goal. Johnny says that he has to go to class, but I don't want him to go just yet. Forget classes for all I care. I stall long enough that a teacher comes out of her classroom.
Of course I lie about the whole tour thing just to hang out with Johnny. I used a little of my compulsion charm in order to get the teacher to agree, but no one needs to know that. After Mrs. Twist left us alone, I turn to Johnny. I grabbed his hand and just started walking in whatever direction. His hand in mine felt nice and confusing at the same time. The last time I felt something like this was with my Willow. But, that was in the past. For now, I'll focus on my "tour".
The tour a second time was much funnier with Johnny as my guide. He is funny and shy at the same time, which is adorable on him. I can see us being good friends in this shithole while I'm stuck here. When he drops me off at my classroom door and then turns to leave, my instincts tell me to stop him before he goes to far. I surprised myself with my actions and came up with the excuse of asking him to hangout later. I hope he agrees because I want to be close to him and know him more.
"That does sound tempting, but I can't. I am meeting my girlfriend, Paula, to have some couple time after her cheer-leading practice," Johnny replies to me. My heart breaks a bit from hearing him mentioning a girlfriend, but I quickly vanish the disappointment off my face. I'll have to talk to Eric about why I feel so mad now. After we said our goodbyes to each other, I sadly turn and walk into my class.
Once I'm finally seated in my seat, I couldn't pay attention to what the teacher was talking about. My head is now filled with other things that I can't even understand. I may have only met Johnny today, but it felt like I've known him for longer than that.
When it's finally lunch time, I leave my class and go searching for Eric. I get to the lunchroom and look around for him. In the far right corner table, Eric flags me over, as I roll my eyes back to him.
"So, anything interesting happen to you yet?," Eric asks me when I park myself next to him. Looking across the room, I see Johnny eating his lunch quietly while the girl next to him (I think it's his girlfriend) is talking with the people around them. A smirk appears on my face seeing him.
"Something interesting alright. Can't wait to find out more tho. Anyway, it's only day one, many more to go." Eric gives me a weird look but goes back to his lunch. Maybe high school won't be that bad after all.
Third POV
Tom can be annoying. I know who he and his friend really is, but I won't let them ruin what I have worked so hard to put together. I have Johnny right where I want him, and I won't let those two mess up my plan. The prince will suffer like I have all those years ago.
