"BEEP" "BEEP" "BEEP" i pry my sleep covered eyes open when the sound of my alarm hits my ears knowing I have to get up. I drag my bruised an beaten body over to my poor excuse of a bathroom which mainly consist of a shower and a toilet in the cold basement where I stay can't even call it a room when my bed is made out of literal rags with no pillow or blanket.The only thing that keeps me alive during the winter is the furnace in the corner that only heats up about 5 feet around it and I have to curl my body in a ball to stay warm.The only reason I even have an alarm clock is to make sure I get up before everyone else to do my daily chores.As I reach for the rusted faucet to turn on the shower I get blasted with ice cold water I don't even try to reach for the hot water knowing they shut it off long ago.I grab the bar of soap an start lathering it into my hair the only luxury I'm allowed so that way I don't stink to everyone else around me as I hurriedly wash my hair an body as I finish I jump out of the shower freezing my tit's off well what little I do have anyways and walk over to where I have my uniform hung out to dry hoping that it's ready for the day.My uniform is just a hand me down black dress that goes about mid thigh they say I have to keep it presentable cause that's the only one I get.As I take it off it's line it's as stiff as a board from the cold damp air down here I look over to my clock 4:23 flashing in bright red numbers letting me know i have 7 minutes to get dressed an up to the kitchen or I'll be late cooking everyone's breakfast.Everyone comes down to breakfast at 7 every morning and when you have to make food for over 9 people it takes you awhile even more so the pots an pans that I know I'll need.i start the coffee maker that way it'll be ready by the time they get down here I grab the eggs,bacon,pancake mix, bagels an oranges out. to start I throw on the bacon at a low temp to slowly start to cook while grabbing my sausage meat fixing them in to small round shapes to throw in the frying pan an i grab my sausage links an throw them in there kill two birds with one stone less cleaning I have to do while all that is cooking I go over to my pancake mix an start pouring it in to my bowl adding the vanilla extract an cinnamon all the smells making my shriveled up stomach growl but I know if I even attempt to eat without permission they will throw me in the dungeon for a week with no water or food.I've been down there to many times I try not to provoke them but sometimes I can't help it when I get starved an beaten daily sometimes I just snap one time my punishment was 25 lashes an two weeks in the dungeon in the coldest cell they have I almost died since then I try to be on my best behavior it's only been two months an the cuts on my back still hurt if I move the wrong way my healing is significantly more slow then normal for having no wolf an malnourished for as long as I can remember.as I get done with all the meats an the pancakes I move on the the orange juice grabbing one an cutting it in half an squeezing them by hand until I have about three gallons worth looking at the clock an seeing it is already 6:52 I quicken my pace an start setting the table the second I lay all the food down i hear movement from upstairs thanking the moon goddess I was able to get everything out there on time everyone starts coming down the stairs when all of a sudden I hear a growl I dare not look up as it is disrespectful to look in someone's eyes who is higher rank so for now I keep my head down once everyone is seated I grab the coffee an fill thr cups up an move on to the orange juice I have the pitcher in my hand pouring Xavier his cup when I feel a touch on my thigh I gasp from the electricity it shoots through my body from that small touch I glance to my thigh to see his hand resting against it an I made the mistake of looking at him o my gosh his eyes are so blue I could get lost in them for days everything around us disappears nothing else matters besides his stare on me I get jolted out of it when I hear a shrill shriek from the girl in his lap.
