CHAPTER Becky couldn’t believe it actually worked. The whole time while she was talking to the front desk, she’d been terrified they were going to realize she was lying, that they were going to call the cops on her and make her go back to Donahue’s. But it worked! If Becky ever found herself doubting in God again, she’d just remember everything he’d done for her tonight.
