Chapter 2: The Battle Begins The army set out at dawn, with King Marcus and Sir Lucian leading the charge. Lady Eliza and Prince Liam followed closely behind, along with a group of skilled soldiers and archers. As they approached the first village, they could hear the sounds of chaos and destruction. The werewolves had already been there, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. King Marcus surveyed the damage, his heart heavy. "We must stop them before they reach any more villages," he said firmly. The army continued on, tracking the werewolves' movements and launching surprise attacks whenever they could. It was a grueling battle, with casualties on both sides. Lady Eliza fought bravely, her sword flashing through the air as she battled the fierce werewolves. Prince Liam felt a surge of pride as he fought alongside his fellow soldiers, defending his kingdom with all his might. He had never felt so alive, so purposeful. Just as the army was gaining the upper hand, a massive werewolf appeared on the battlefield. It was the werewolf prince, Aric, and he was unlike any werewolf they had ever seen. He was massive and imposing, with a thick coat of fur and piercing yellow eyes that glowed in the moonlight. King Marcus stepped forward to face him, his sword at the ready. "Stand down, werewolf," he said firmly. "Your reign of terror ends here." Aric bared his teeth, a fierce growl emanating from his throat. "I will not rest until I have broken the curse that plagues my family," he said. "And I will stop at nothing to protect my pack." The two charged at each other, their swords clashing in a shower of sparks. It was a brutal fight, with neither gaining the upper hand. Meanwhile, Lady Eliza and the other soldiers battled the rest of the werewolf pack. It was a chaotic scene, with howls and snarls filling the air as swords clashed and arrows flew. At last, King Marcus saw an opening and struck Aric with a powerful blow. The werewolf prince stumbled backward, his eyes flashing with anger and pain. "Enough," he growled. "I will leave this battle for now, but I will be back." And with that, he disappeared into the night, leaving the army to tend to their wounded and bury their dead. As the sun rose over the battlefield, Prince Liam couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. They had won the battle, but he knew the war was far from over. The werewolf prince was still out there, and he was determined to break the curse that had plagued his family for generations. Little did Prince Liam know, the werewolf prince was not the only threat they would face. For there were darker forces at play, and they would stop at nothing t o see the Lunar Kingdom fall.
