"So, Louise. Are you still at uni?"
Louise grab her glass and had a drink first before answering. "Yeah. I'm actually starting new Monday next week"
"Nice. Which university?"
"University of the East?" Neesha's eyes shine before her eye-blinding smile emerged.
"Really? Sweet. We go there too"
Louise's eyebrows shoot upwards. Well, at least now there's familiar faces around
"Really? What are you taking?"
"I'm taking Business Administration." taking a large gulp, Neesha continued, "Zarrina's a Civil Engineering student. Although she also took Business Administration on the first two years in Uni before we all took a gap year" Louise's interest poked at that
"You took a gap year too?"
"Yeah, we did. Decided to go travel with the lass" Neesha had a soft look on her face, her eyes are kinda down too. "You took a gap year?"
Louise nodded her head, taking one last gulp on her drink. "Yeah, I did. I, ah, worked. Yeah. I want to be independent from ah, from my parents so I stopped for a while to work" she smiled before clearing her throat
"Are you on year three too?" Louise nodded. "Nice. What are you taking then?" Neesha asked again, now finished with her meal and drink
"Oh, I'm an HRM student"
"Oh? So you cook? That's nice. Ace loves to cook too" said Neesha with a teasing fond smile
Speaking of Ace, "Really? She's an HRM student too?" Masking away her threatening smile, something within her hoping they could be classmates.
She poured a water on her glass and took a drink on it to stop her face from smiling
But Neesha seemed to caught on it. Her expression now supporting a teasing one. "Nah, Ace is taking AB Legal Management"
Oh. "Legal Management?" Isn't that for law? Louise wonders
"Yeah. She wanted to be a lawyer, but she also wants to help her mum with their business" Louise was beyond amazed.
She didn't thought these ladies she just met and now considers her new neighbor are really taking their education seriously to help their parents.
"That's sweet" Louise hummed earning a smile from Neesha. She then glanced at her wrist watch and oh. It's already past four pm.
"Hey, ahm not to be rude, but ahm, are you done? Eating I mean. It's already four, we should head now so we could go back before night falls?"
"Oh yeah, it's alright." Neesha said, getting her wallet out but Louise cut her off
"No, no. This one's on me" Louise offered with a sweet smile. Neesha looked at her, hesitating for a bit before smiling widely at her
"You sure?" Louise nodded with a smile. "Okay then. Thanks" She called the waiter over, payed it and they went out the restaurant feeling rather full
Louise and Neesha went from stores to stores. Hands rather full of things they bought. Or rather, things Louise had bought.
On their last stop, they were at a shoe store and Neesha was looking at the nude colored, bohemian crocheted slippers. It got a white crisscrossing laces with black beads on it. It's actually very pretty. Hm too bad I left my card back in the flat
Neesha puts it back down, but kept on glancing on it from time to time. And Louise saw that. So when Neesha wasn't looking, Louise picked it and brought it in the counter, looking back to see if Neesha had saw her. When she payed for it, she grabbed all the other items she bought. Just in time as Neesha approached her
"Hey, Ace texted me. Wondering where we are. Zarri and her are on their way here, if that's alright with you?" It was too obvious that she roots for Louise and her friend. They would make a cute couple
"Yeah, sure. I'm done here anyways so we could meet them outside instead?"
"Yeah, alright." Neesha helped her with half of the things she bought and they both walked out of the store.
They didn't have to wait long for Harriet and Zarri to arrive, both ladies were now walking towards them meeting them halfway.
And just like yesterday, Louise's heart pound slightly at her chest. Blue eyes catching green ones. Louise and Harriet both smiled at each other
"Hey ladies. How's your day?" Neesha greeted her two friends
"We're alright. How about you two? Tired?" Zarri asked. Taking some of the bags and helping them out. Harriet doing the same
"Thanks" Louise smiled at them
"Yeah, but I had fun shopping with Louise. So it's alright"
"So you're done now? Or you still have things to buy?" Zarri turned to look at Louise as they walked through the mall. Harriet and her falling behind Zarri and Neesha
"No, that's about it." Zarri hummed
"We were actually going to ask you to hang out, Louise. But seeing as you both were here for hours, I don't think staying up late would be a good idea" Zarri chuckled. Neesha and Louise sure do look tired, and both are hungry again
"How about an early dinner?" Harriet asked. Louise looked at her and was caught off guard when she saw Harriet already looking at her
"Yeah, that sounds good. I'm hungry again" Neesha pouted while the others laugh
"We won't hold you long enough. Just dinner before you call it a day" Harriet offered once more. And without any hesitation, Louise agreed
She would actually love that. She could have a decent dinner and hang out with them. Especially Harriet
All girls walked out of the mall. Hand full shopping bags and went to where Steve was waiting for them. When Steve saw them, he helped put all the stuffs at the back of the car while the girls entered the car.
Neesha was sat at the passenger seat, while Harriet was sandwiched between Zarri and Louise. Louise insides were doing a summersaults although she felt calm.
They had casual talks during the short car ride, just getting to know the other and when they arrived, Harriet called a bellboy to help them with her shopping bags.
"Your other stuffs are already on your flat, Louise. We already sent it up, if that was okay?" Zarrina informed her
Louise was shocked but she was still thankful. She wouldn't have to carry loads of it to her flat.
With a smile, she turned to Zarri and thanked her. "It was no problem. Thank you though for helping"
She heard Harriet's voice behind her, so she turned around and listened to her talking. Harriet really has an amazing voice, one that could lull someone. It was soothing.
"Please call El and tell her we'll be having an early dinner at the rooftop" Louise was surprised, there's a restaurant in the rooftop?
"Yes, miss" the lady at the reception desk answered her, then proceeds on calling someone while Harriet muttered her thanks
Harriet walked towards them, a smile plastered on her face. Eyes falling on Louise. "Let's go?"
Louise raised her eyebrow, a small smile on her face. Neesha put her arms on her shoulder making Louise jump
"Let's go. I'm really hungry" and to prove her point, she rubbed her tummy. Louise giggling beside her. She's really starting to like Neesha
When Louise took a glimpse on Harriet, she saw her eyebrows furrowed. Eyes darting to where Neesha's arms were draped around her shoulder. Louise took a subtle step away from Neesha, patting her back while saying, "We literally just ate like four hours ago"
Neesha sighed dramatically making them laugh. "That's already a long time, babe. Now I'm hungry again" she said pouting
"You're always hungry, love. That's not really a surprise" Zarri ruffled her hair, earning a groan from Neesha who swatted her hand away
"Hey, stop messing my hair" and the two started bickering again
Five minutes later, and a lot of complaint from Neesha, all four lassies found themselves inside the elevator. Going up to the top floor.
When they reached the rooftop, Louise was amazed at the surrounding. It wasn't a typical restaurant, it was more like a private dining area. It has a bar on it's left side, a jacuzzi on the center and a kitchen like on the right area. It also has two large round tables in it.
The jacuzzi has lights beneath making the water shine and lit. The rooftop also has a fire pit just above the large jacuzzi. Overall, the whole floor was amazing and breathtaking. Especially the scenery, where you can actually smell fresh cold air.
It was only just nearing six in the evening, and the sun just sets. Giving them another breathtaking view while they were eating. All four girls were exchanging conversations and sharing laughs, Louise enjoying the moments. Tiredness now dissipated.
They didn't noticed the time as they were enjoying each others company. When they finished eating- Harriet ordered different desserts as they didn't want to end their conversations. They were really full and the sky had turned to dark blue. Few stars already visible
"Huh? Where'd all the light go?" Louise asked laughing. Tiredness totally forgotten and was replaced with happiness and relaxation.
"Ah, I had fun" Neesha exclaimed while stretching her limbs. Smile on her lips
"Yeah, me too. We should do this more often" Zarri suggested. Harriet, Zarrina and Neesha now all looking at Louise. All had a hopefully look on their faces
"Yeah. I would love that." Louise face softened. She did enjoyed their company, and now she's looking forward to their other hangouts.
After staying for another five minutes, they are now riding the elevator back to their floor. The building only had ten floors so it wasn't really that long of a ride and now, they're all standing outside their flats. Looking at each other softly
"Thank you for today, everyone. Especially you, Neesha. Thank you for helping me out"
"Nah don't mind it, babe. If you need anything, don't be shy to call us, yeah?" Louise nodded with a grin. She's actually happy she made friends. A great one at that
"I'm going now. Good night everyone" Zarri waved her hand at them before entering her flat. Neesha was about to follow her when Louise stopped her
"Wait, Neesha" Neesha looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Yes, Louise? You need anything?"
"No. Wait here" Neesha and Harriet looked at each other when Louise opened her door and run inside her flat. Neesha shrugging her shoulder at Harriet
A minute later, Louise went back outside carrying a shopping bag in her hands. She looked up at Harriet with a shy smile. "Ahm, I only got one for Neesha. It's a thank you gift for helping me out today" Louise said apologetically at Harriet who only smiled softly at her. While Neesha was practically gaping
"For me?!" Her blue eyes now wide open, a small threatening to appear
"Yes" Louise laughed at her. Handing her present
When Neesha opened it, her eyes bulged out. She stared at Louise in disbelief. She-
"How did you know?" Neesha asked her. Jaw dropped open, Louise smiled at her
"I saw you looking at it, so I bought it for you. As an appreciation gift" Louise was then gathered in a tight bear hug. Neesha saying her thank yous and squeezing her more making Louise's breath hitched
"Alright, Nee. Alright, you're gonna kill her if you keep on squeezing her. Poor lass can't breathe properly, bub" Harriet pulled Neesha away from her. Louise laughing while catching her breath
"Thank you! Thank you so much, Louise!" Neesha was about to hug her again but Harriet went between them. Making Louise laugh
"We'll probably go now before she squeeze the life out of you" Louise giggled, head nodding in agreement
"Yeah, that's actually a great idea" Neesha whining a loud hey and pouting at Harriet and Louise
"Good night, Curly" Harriet smiled at her. Louise waved them off saying a sweet, "Good night, Harriet"
She then turned to Neesha and stuck her tongue out at her. Earning one in return. They both laughed at their childish action. Harriet shaking her head in amusement.
"Good night, Louise"
"G'night, Irish"
And with a final wave, they entered their respective rooms. Louise went directly inside her room to go get clean and change.
With a smile permanent on her lips, Louise slept well that night. Dreams full of her new found friends.
