Susan DiMarco arrived for rehearsal on Wednesday, and the calm shifted into angst. Susan demanded jelly beans and sparkling water be available and complained that she didn’t have a private trailer like Dana.
She snapped at the script supervisor, argued with the wardrobe assistant, and turned up her nose at Dana. Puzzled by her attitude, the East Coast crew avoided her. They especially disliked her treatment of Dana, who they had gotten to know as friendly, cooperative, and fun to have around.
The friendship the casting director had with Susan’s agent, Mel Argento, was now in severe jeopardy. Horrified at the woman’s behavior, he texted Mel to let him know that his client was causing trouble, and not to ask for any more favors. As he typed, Susan found a new target to unload on. W
