“What’s going on?” she asked Ray.
“Looks like Dana and Albert were attacked.”
“Oh, no!”
“Try to keep these people inside so we can figure out what happened.”
Autumn waved Elizabeth over and asked her to announce the winners of the scavenger hunt.
“Have you seen Ward Everly?” asked Ray.
“Not lately.”
The three officers went back to the cemetery. They found drag marks where Dana Wood and Albert Holton used to be. Their flashlights revealed a stripe of red in the groove of one of them.
Ward Everly huffed and puffed as he pulled the bodies from their resting places. The rope made it easier to drag them out of the cemetery and through the bushes. He looked down at Dana, her costume now more red than white. The magic wand sticking out of her chest caused more red stuff to flow.
