- 12 - Autumn saw that Chrissy stayed out of the way of the foot traffic through the grand foyer. It wasn’t much better outside, with Ward Everly building the hay bale maze, so she curled up in her favorite spot on the window seat. The only person in the living room was Elizabeth sorting the decorations and updating her drawings. When Autumn went to check on her precious little girl, her head lay on a pillow with her eyes closed and her breathing was slow and even. Elizabeth saw Autumn in the doorway. “No worries, mom. Your baby is quiet and comfortable. I’m keeping an eye on her.” Autumn smiled. “Thank you.
