- 9 - Zelda Weems walked from room to room in Amy Davis’ former home. Amy paid the rent through November, so Zelda had two months to figure out where she’d live. The television stations paid for her interviews. Not a lot, but enough to stay fed. Amy told her aunt she was the sole beneficiary of her possessions and money, so Zelda searched Amy’s files for a will. She made calls to Amy’s agent and attorney to see if they knew about any legal documents with Zelda’s name on them. She expected the death certificate any day now, which she’d take to the bank and transfer Amy’s accounts into her own name. Zelda planned to sell most of the objects and clothing Amy accumulated.
