Vera’s POV I had won two out of the three rounds. The sword fight, I survived. The wolf challenge, I endured. Now, only one task stood between me and the title—Furcroft Forest. A place spoken of in hushed tones, known for testing not strength, but spirit. No one came out of it the same. It was wild, unpredictable, full of shadows and whispers. A trial that had broken even the fiercest warriors. I stood still, heart pounding as I looked ahead at the towering trees in the distance. Their tips disappeared into the sky, thick fog curling at their roots. I swallowed hard. Suddenly, a loud cheer erupted from the gathered pack members. “Luna Vera!” they chanted in one voice.
