Vera’s POV
We were still wrapped in each other’s arms, our breaths in sync, the quiet rhythm of the room making it feel like the rest of the world didn’t exist. I could stay in that moment forever.
Then came a soft knock on the door.
Startled, I quickly moved away from Gideon, sitting upright and smoothing down my dress. He chuckled, his eyes dancing with amusement.
“Why are you acting like you’re doing something wrong?” he teased, propping himself up on one elbow. “Aren’t you my Luna? Is there any reason we can’t be found together?”
I avoided his gaze, biting my lip to suppress my smile. “It’s just… I don’t know, it feels strange.”
Gideon smirked. “Strange, huh? You being in your own mate’s arms?”
He made a sudden move toward me, but I squealed and dodged him, hopping off the bed.
