After the meeting about security with Drake, I went to find my mate. I checked our room, and she wasn’t there. I went down to the dining room, still nothing, and I even checked the kitchen. I spotted Laria and asked if she had seen Jane.
“No, I haven’t seen her for a few hours,” she answered.
“This isn’t like her.” I began, “She usually waits for me after meetings.”
“Hey, you two. What are you talking about?” Drake asked as he walked up and put his arm around his mate.
“Lucas can’t seem to find Jane,” Lari answered.
“Who was the last to see her?” he asked with a frown.
