Callen had no idea that we had followed them, leaving twenty minutes after their car disappeared in the distance. I knew Jason and my sister had an idea, being that they grew up constantly looking over their shoulders, and we had to switch cars multiple times. As soon as Callen’s number showed on my phone, Luca drove at light speed, and I called every doctor who owed me a favor in this area to come forth and not to ask questions, only to bring all their supplies. I heard the struggle in his throat, and it caused my breath to hitch in mine. We arrived at the home within seven minutes of the call ending, the doctors and medical professionals on my payroll showing up within seconds of Luca screeching to park.
