Alberto's Eatery
The eatery was extremely filled and the workers were extremely busy.
Alberto's Eatery was the biggest and best eatery in Toledo..
In a day, they could get over 100 customers plus those who visited again but today was different, a special guest had made a reservation at noon.
While everyone was working in the kitchen, the chef was selecting high quality and the freshest ingredients and the assistant chef was peeling onions and potatoes, a lazy worker was sleeping at the corner of the kitchen.
She had her back rested on the wall while standing and had drifted off to dreamland.
Mateo, the assistant chef saw her and nudged the chef, Mr Alberto.
Mr Alberto yelled "Aurora!"
Aurora jolted out of sleep and placed her palms together, pretending to pray "Our father in the heavens. Let your name be sanctified. Let your king..."
"Come here!" Mr Alberto half yelled.
Aurora walked towards him.
"What were you doing there?" He asked.
"I prayed, dad, asking God for more special guest to pay you handsomely." She said.
Mateo chuckled but quickly wore a blank expression when Mr Alberto glared daggers at him.
"So, dad, what's the occasion?" Aurora asked.
"Aren't you aware? A big shot made a reservation by noon. We need to get it before they arrive."
"Oh. If everyone is busy with everything, what's the use of me joining them?"
"It'll make it faster. Peel the onions."
"No!" Mateo declined.
He remembered vividly when she once assisted him in peeling the onions. She suddenly started crying and bit him. He couldn't afford to get bitten again.
"She should clear the customers. The guest would like to eat alone." Mateo suggested.
"Good. You heard him. Clear the customers."
Aurora rolled her eyes and got to her job.
----
Five cars, all black except the red one in the middle drove towards the eatery in series and stopped at the parking lot.
The driver in the red car got out and walked towards the back door.
He opened the door and kept his head low.
Javier and Gael stepped out of the car.
As Mr Alberto saw the two big shot stepping out of the car, he called the servers to serve the table. The table was set.
Two servers, one of which was Aurora waited behind.
Everyone bowed when they walked in.
Aurora gasped as she set her eyes on Gael.
Gael Martinez, a young singer, actor and a heir to a business empire. Gael is known for his soulful voice and chart topping hits. His music captivates audiences not only in Spain but every part of the world.
He is also a talented and versatile actor who has starred in blockbuster films and critically acclaimed television series.
Aurora glanced at Javier and scoffed, thinking of him as a friend who sponges off Gael but no, Javier was the richest.
Unknown to her, Javier has the highest shares in a vast international conglomerate with interest in real estate, energy, finance, fashion and many more. The annual profit for the business is $200 billion.
The two of them settled down and all the workers moved to the kitchen except the servers.
Gael glanced round the eatery "It's a big place with beautiful views. By the way, where's everyone?"
"You don't like people taking your pictures and autographs all the time so I asked them to clear everyone. After serving us, they'll leave." Javier said, reffering to the servers.
As one of the server poured the wine into the wine glass, Aurora walked towards them and smiled at Gael, waving at him
Gael frowned at her sight.
"Hi." Aurora smiled.
"Really?" Gael asked with raised brows.
Aurora looked confused unsure of what he meant.
"You're pretending nothing happened, huh?" He asked, his brows still raised
"You can leave...both of you." Javier said to the servers, feeling irritated at their presence.
Aurora eyed Javier and turned to Gael with a smile.
"Have we met somewhere?" She asked.
"Are you not the same lady that emptied that coffee on me this morning?"
"Me? Oh! That must have been my twin sister."
Gael scoffed. "You think you can fool me, huh?"
"I said leave!" Javier yelled.
The other server left but Aurora stayed back wishing to hit Javier so badly he'll keep his mouth shut.
"Calm down, Javier. This lady is going nowhere. We have a dispute to settle. She emptied hot coffee on me this morning and wasn't even remorseful,...and gosh! She's acting like nothing happened." He turned to Aurora. "Do you really think I'd let it end like that?"
"Look, I have a twin sister. You can ask my boss, he's also my father. I've never left this restaurant since I arrived at 7:30." Aurora lied, knowing she arrived at 9:23 am and her father had almost skinned her alive for coming late.
"You're sure?" Gael asked, still doubting.
"Yes. Can I..."
"Okay, that's enough. You can take your leave now!" Javier ordered, glaring at Aurora.
To his surprise, she glared back.
"Listen, here, you SpongeBob. Stop acting like you own the world."
"What did you call me?" Javier's face darkened.
"SpongeBob. Yes, it's a name for people who sponges off others."
