AMBER. Alpha Troy walked into the room while I was searching for where I could escape aside from the entrance he had just walked in from. He walked up to me as I turned to him. All I did was stare at him but my insides were fighting me to snake into his large arms for a warm and safe hug. “I am here to make a deal with you,” he started, looking at me. Alpha Troy told me everything that I needed to know. He added that I would be free after the meeting with the elders and some of the pack members. The thought of being free made me happy so I agreed to pretend to be their mate. “Great.” He smiled at me before walking out. After, I got dressed in a long dress that covered my bruises. I used foundation to cover the little marks on my face and the eye bag sitting fat under my eyes. Getting out, I looked around in fear because I didn't want to see Tristan. I am damn scared of him and what he could do to me. Troy said that they had talked about it but a part of me still did not believe this. I spent days with Tristan torturing me, his monstrosity had been engraved deep in me. By the time I got out of the playhouse, a black van was waiting and Troy stood beside it. He was busy pressing his phone when he suddenly noticed me and then he paused a little, taking in my look. I felt shy at that moment wondering what he was thinking about. Then he walked toward me and I felt my heart pound in my chest. Each step he took closer scared the s**t out of me. Perhaps I wasn't as comfortable as I thought I was with Troy. He raised his hand and I flinched backward. It took me some seconds to realize that Troy was not Tristan and he would never hit me. When I looked back at Troy, he was astonished by my behavior. “Are you okay?” He asked, his voice gentle and his eyes looking at me with concern. “Yes,” I answered and looked at his hand which hung in the air with a necklace in his palm. “Is that a cloaking oil?” I asked and then he nodded before stretching it to me. That was what he wanted to put on my body. Cloaking oil hides rogues' smell and makes them smell more powerful or sometimes like Alphas. Since the oils are fermented Alpha sweat. Troy must have soaked it with the necklace. I could smell another Alpha in the car, and I hoped it was not Tristan. Since I couldn't see who was in the car from the outside. “Don’t worry, Tristan is not riding with us. It's Thompson, my third brother.” Troy uttered behind me and I nodded with relief before going to the car. Truthfully, it was the third Alpha. He looked extremely hot like Troy and had sharp jawlines that could make a knife jealous. His eyes were a clear blue like the oceans and his smile was perfect. “You are beautiful,” he uttered with a smile. I felt relaxed with the two brothers, they were better than Tristan. Although a part of me was still scared. I knew that I would only feel better when I am not in this pack anymore. At this point, I am no longer concerned about getting revenge against my uncle or making Keid regret rejecting me. I just want to be free from the torture and pain and fear. Thompson must have seen the way I was trembling because he placed his palm on my lap. I flinched and this made him look at me like I had grown two heads. I wanted his hands off my lap very quickly, I did not want to have anything to do with this men. “Am I making you feel uncomfortable?” He asked, bending his head a little to meet mine since he was taller. I wanted to nod and beg him to remove his hand from my body but fear wouldn't let me. Fear made me think Thompson could turn on me like Tristan. When the car halted, I was quick to get out of the car but Thompson made it his job to lead me out, and his hands wrapped around my waist. I didn't flinch as much this time, I was just shaken and scared of being treated like thrash. Troy stood next to me and put out his hand with a smile that warmed my heart. Perhaps they are nothing like Tristan, my subconscious assured me. My wolf, Khloe hadn't said a word to me since Keid rejected. Even during the torture when she should have comforted me - take half the pain but she didn't. She left me and it hurts very much because I had only her. It was hard on me and more than anything I needed her. Getting into the meeting room, all eyes turned on me. Two Alphas beside me, holding my arms with mine - of course, I would get the stares. A particular woman dressed in an emerald gown stared intently at me with a smile and then she walked toward us. “Is this your mate, sons.” Asked the woman and the duo nodded their heads, each pulling me closer and against his arm. “Wow, you are so beautiful. I cannot believe you are the future Luna of the pack, you look astonishing.” She complimented and I muttered a thank you. The Alpha mother made it her job to introduce me to everyone and they all accepted me with smiles and love. At the moment, I forgot that I was a rogue, and my life from now on will be just that. I laughed and smiled especially when the Alpha mother started to tell me all about them. “Where is Tristan, he didn't come?” She asked a little disgust in her voice. Perhaps I heard wrongly. However, the sound of the name made me flinch and my heart thumped fast in my chest. “Right here.” Then his voice sounded behind me. I wanted to hide behind the Alpha mother or dig the floor and stay seven feet below - anything to get away from the monster behind me. “I can't believe you didn't come with your mate.” She rolled her eyes with the same hint of disgust before looking back at me with a smile. I couldn't return it, fear had eaten every iota of happiness that I had in me. The Alpha mother noticed and she asked what was wrong with me. “Peee... I want to pee.” I uttered and then stood before she could say anything. With this, I walked away without looking at his face. His scent, aura, and darkness had overwhelmed me so much - I almost peed in my panties. I went to look for Troy, I could not stay anymore. I wanted to be gone. Luckily, I found Troy just in time. “I want to go,” I informed him. He looked at me for some seconds before finally nodding. I was scared for a moment that he wouldn't keep his end of the deal. However, now I see that he was a man of his word. He wasn't as scary as Tristan. With tears in my eyes, I wrapped my hands around him tightly. “Thank you,” I whispered in his ears, his flesh almost touching my lips. “Let’s go before my brothers find out.” He held my hand and pulled me out of the house. Troy had me go through the back gate which was also heavily guarded but with his Alpha aura, he compelled the men to not remember. Looking at the way to freedom, -from the sickening torture- tears wouldn't help but grow in my eyes. And then looking back at Troy, I didn't want to leave anymore. He had protected me from the hands of his brother and cared for me this past day. His violet eyes pierced through mine and I had a feeling he didn't want me to leave as well. “Go!” He snapped and I nodded before walking away, gently chiding myself for thinking he wanted me to stay. Anyway, I would never forget him. I was just a few minutes into running into the bushes when I felt a powerful aura around me. “Stop right there!” I heard the voice I recognised very well. It pierced my entire organs with fear and horror. “Did you think you can run away from me?” His presence surged toward me and before I could scream, he jabbed me. Please. Please. I begged but he didn't listen. Instead, he dragged me away.
