I had him in my hand watching him struggle. I wanted to snap his damn neck. Mia was right I am super human. I heard what she said to him every word. And I was right. He is the reason. When he said what he said. I would never hurt her that way.

"Malik, I knew you were strong but damn" she says snuggling into my arm.

Damn it the way she just made me feel right then in there. Just her being her. Mia stopped me.

"Mia do you know why I asked you that"

"I had the feeling he did something to you"

"Mia if I'm going to be with you I want to know the pain you've been through" she stopped at a*****e looking in the window.

"Can we go in" she looks like a cute puppy begging.

"Before we do Mia. I think you should know I have money"

"So what's that have to with anything"

"You think I'm shallow enough to care about money. It's not about the money it's about what you do with it" she pulling my arm towards the door.

I chuckled and we went in. It was dimly lit.

"What is this place"

"Somewhere I've wanted to into for years but never had the partner to"

I realized she likes it rough. We came up with a safe word. Holy s**t we came up with a safe. She's into bondage. Oh this version is doing things for me.

"Is this a shop that sells certain things" I say looking at the lingerie.

"Yes what do you think" she say holding up a bright red corset with black lace up the middle.

I made a mistake. She got everything she wanted. To the next shop. It was an actual clothing store. Thank the gods I wouldn't be able to handle another store like the one we were just in.

"Go get what you need for yourself and your daughter. I'll stay here and get something for myself" she takes off and looks happy.

This day might not have started off the way we wanted but she certainly seems happy. I smiled realizing that this version of her seems way more enjoyable. I walk over with my basket full of clothes. I walk up to the tooth brushes and also get my shower stuff. Should also pick up condoms just incase she isn't ready for another baby. She also seems like she could handle herself if she did want one.

"Hey I got everything I needed" she says coming up with a cart full of stuff.

Shit more money gone but it's not like I don't have an unlimited amount.

"Ok lets get out of here"

"Sure" we pay and leave.

We were walking past a tattoo shop. She grabs my arm hard. I actually felt pain.

"Mia can you let go of my arm" she did and walked right into the shop.

"Hi do you guys accept walk ins"

"Yes what are you looking to get"

She looked at me with a smile. What did I get myself into. She literally just spent so much money in two different stores. But this one made her smile more.

"Malik wanna get matching ones" she says. s**t a tattoo needle never touched my skin.

"Sure love" she smiles and picked out two roses.

"You ready" she says as the guy preps her and she smiles.

She bent down and him something to do to both. s**t. He starts and she looks amazed. He finishes up and right above the rose is an M. She got a capital M. It could for her name or mine. I noticed when He finished. He did the same thing to me. Mia really wanted this. I've seen only one other tattoo on her and it's her daughters birthday. She smiled at me and then realized her daughter will home soon.

Mia

Holy s**t I just got a matching tattoo with him. Have I suddenly became reckless. Or have I become more myself again.

"How much do I owe you"

He said the price and I realized that I spent a lot of his money today. Holy s**t. My daughter will be home soon.

"Malik"

"Yes" I say pulling him out of the shop after he paid for our tattoos.

"Do you think it was ok for me to spend this much" I say holding his hand. I felt him chuckle.

"Mia I told I have money. You got what was necessary for you and for your daughter. The tattoo was a surprise" He says bringing my hand up to his mouth and kissing it.

We walked back to the apartment building smiling at each other. We got inside the building and surprise there's Kaity.

"You" she tried lunging at me

She tried again and I side stepped her quickly.

"What do you mean me. What did I do"

Malik had all the bags. He just watched with amusement that I was going to drop this crazy b***h.

"He's leaving me"

"You crazy b***h what does that have to do with me" she keeps trying and failing.

I hear Malik chuckle. He clearly finds this amusing.

"So how's that my fault"

That time she threw fist at my face and missed.

"Mia this is all your fault"

"No it's not"

She tried again and I grabbed her fist mid air. The air fell quiet as her fist connected with my hand. It resounded through out the lobby. Her face looked priceless. She managed to hit in the side. I didn't bend over because she can't hit. I started laughing. Kaity looked at me and realized I wasn't the one to be messing with. Malik will finally see the strength I have.

"Kaity , Kaity , Kaity" I continue laughing" You did this to yourself" I threw my punch and it landed right in the middle of her face. She cupped her nose.

"You b***h" she says "I think you broke my nose"

"You have no idea how long I waited to do that"

"Mia" she lunges at me and she actually hit me.

"Hey Kaity who taught you to fight"

I round house kicked her and her jaw cracked. Teeth actually flew out of her mouth. She fell to the floor and people clapped. Malik looked proud.

"Mama" there she stood with the crowd. She was clapping for me and I felt proud. I probably shouldn't be feeling that way. We grabbed our stuff and head to my apartment.

She beamed at me the whole ride up. We got off the elevator and she seemed happy. We get into the apartment and she notices a stuffed animal sticking out the bag. She pulls it out and smiles.

"Yes sweetie it's yours. I know it's been a while that I got you something"

"Mama you're all I need" she says and hugs me.
