She’d eaten a light lunch and skipped out on dinner entirely, forgoing her usual beer for a glass of water. It wasn’t as satisfying, but she made due. Should she go to the weekly meeting? Truth be told, she’d planned on not going. After all, what would be the point? She had expected to have a couple of job offers lined up and a bright future ahead of her.
