O’Brien lurched into the driver’s seat, Jim grabbing the door behind him and piling in. McCready was opening the passenger door, ready to navigate like normal, and Forbes was climbing in behind him. Then the big bay door opened and they were off, O’Brien driving the big vehicle out of the garage like it was no larger than a bicycle, fitting the big truck into spaces that made Jim swear in alarm, and always somehow coming out on the other side without a scratch. He shouldn’t have been surprised: that’s how it always went. Up front, McCready was giving out directions.
