Entering the closet, I eyed the red dress that looked more like lingerie. Putting it off the hanger, I scrutinized that small piece of dress. It was a sheer piece of clothing that I never ever wore. And I never intended to even. What was wrong with this woman? She chose the most skimpiest dress for me. Was it even called a dress? It was blood red and had a plunging neckline. I never wore this type of dress ever before. My sanity never allowed me to wear such a piece of cloth. It was nothing but awful. As much as I liked it, I hated it even more. It looked as if I was going to bed not a f*****g date.
Did Marina hit her head or something? Was she even in her senses when she picked it up? I now regretted agreeing to her choosing the dress for me. I was never interested so I let her chose the dress for me when she asked, or more like demanded that I leave the dress on her. Now I realized why she did what she did. She wanted me to seduce that p*****t or something? If she thought I'd just let him into my pants then she was wrong. So f*****g wrong. Why would I have s*x with a man thrice my age? And first of all, I was not even interested to have s*x with anyone let alone that sick fucker.
Who did he think he was? God. How awful one could get? Clenching my jaw and fisting the dress in my hand, I stormed out of my room and in search of Marina. Where the hell was this woman?
"Do you really believe I will wear this?" I stated firmly, as found her in the living room, sipping away from her mug of coffee. Tossing the dress I knew that could barely fit me on the couch near her, I folded my hands on my chest. I was done with her and her shitty date.
"What is wrong with this dress?" She raised her eyebrow eyeing the dress beside her lap and then her eyes settled on me.
"Do you really think I will wear that?" I scoffed. "Not happening," I said with disbelief.
She had the audacity to shrug. "Sweetie, Mr. Gavin sent this dress for you. He requested me to make you wear it." She said sweetly and I could only gape at her in absolute disbelief.
"Are you kidding me?" I let out a chortle. "Are you really kidding me? This!" I pointed at the dress. "How can you even think I will wear it now that I know he sent it." I gritted out. It hurt my jaw with the way I had pressed my teeth together.
"Quit whining. Alright. I don't have time for your drama so go get ready. He will be here shortly." She spoke calmly as if my words didn't bother her at all.
I couldn't believe it and yet I should have expected something vile from her. She was never one to care about others. She couldn't even care about my father, I was not even in question. "I am not going to wear this. Tell Gavin I am not coming on a date with him."
"Really? You think I care. Go get ready you don't have time!" She now snapped. Her calm facade slipping away. She looked like a witch with those prominent features of hers covered in makeup.
"If you are so keen on sending me on that stupid date then why don't you go instead, hmm?" I snapped. "I am sure you won't mind wearing this slutty outfit for him." The look on her face was all that I needed to know I f****d up big time. But the satisfaction that ran through my nerves was another delight.
She stood up and stepped towards me slowly. "What did you say?" She was calm but her eyes that glared at me were another story.
"You are forgetting something Valerie." She pointed her pointer finger at me. "You are forgetting your father is still in my grasp. If you don't behave I will surely not spare your father. I am done tolerating your bullshit. It is enough." She snarled jabbing her finger at my chest.
"Now sweetheart I am sure you won't want to attend your father's funeral this soon. I mean he is not going to live long but still, his death will come sooner than you will expect." She smirked as she pushed me away with just her finger. The daze I was in, I finally snapped out of it.
She was f*****g going to kill my father! Oh my God. How low can she stoop.
"W-hat-what do you mean?W-hat-what do you mean?" I stuttered as I stared at her with my eyes surely wide open.
She shrugged, looking down at her nails, uninterested. "I just said you should be careful with your next steps. You wouldn't want to lose your dad this soon? Now would you?" She said with sass and I just slumped my shoulders in defeat.
"You can't be serious. He is your husband Marina. How could you?" I couldn't help but cry out
"Oh please. I don't care if he's my husband. All I care about is the money I will be getting after his death." She said and I just couldn't stop but feel disgusted.
"What the hell are you saying?" I said lowly. Not understanding her at all.
"Simple. I want him gone. And you can't do anything about it but just follow my orders."
"W-what do you want?" I again stuttered, still could not able to wrap my head around it. Had she finally lost it? What the hell was she talking about.
"Follow my orders. Go on a date with Mr. Gavin. For now, that is all I want. And in return, I won't mess with your dad's medicines I guess."
My heart dropped to my stomach.
"You can't be serious. What are you doing? What are you giving him?" I didn't lower my voice this time, but I yelled out in despair
"And why would I tell you?" She playfully smirked and I felt anger swirling inside of me. I didn't think before lunging at her. I pushed her down on the sofa and tried grabbing her face but I was roughly pulled away from her.
