“Whoa, Lookit you. You clean up nice, boss.” Parker smiled anxiously as he eyed Harper. Harper turned around in his dark purple sateen dress shirt and tailored black suit pants. Dressier than what he normally wore to perform, his outfit seemed appropriate for the swanky event.
“Y’all look amazing tonight. Who’da thought you could be so respectable?” Harper teased. The dress code had been a hotly debated topic at rehearsal over the last week. The boys chose dark dress shirts, black pants, and black shoes or boots. The girls chose matching little black dresses. It was gratifying to see them dressed up a little and feeling good about themselves. All the kids were nervous, as was Harper, but he knew they were ready.
