Episode 6: Labor

Josh

"Autumn you alright"? I asked her since this morning she looked sick and couldn't keep nothing down.

"Yea this baby is just moving a lot" she said rubbing her belly siting beside me.

"When is your momma coming back"? I asked her.

"Sunday" she said making this face again like she was in pain.

"Autumn you sure you alright"?

"Yes Josh he's just active as hell right now I guess he's going to be this way since I'm going into my last trimester".

I touched her belly and he kicked twice this little boy was giving his momma hell right now. I rubbed her belly to calm him down, but the little boy had move and once again kicked this time harder than the last. Her belly was moving as he moved and it looked weird as f**k.

"You think he's trying to fight his way out"? I asked her with a grin.

"You funny Josh this little boy know he isn't due for another three weeks" she said.

"Babies do come early Autumn my momma told me I came early". She sigh "Josh we don't even have the nursey all together yet".

"I told you lets finish the s**t last night, but no you wanted to suck my f*****g face all night".

She sucked her teeth and replied "you lying you was sucking my face all night and then you left because my momma came home". I laughed and replied "s**t I mean your lips look so good" he said licking his lips.

"That's what got us in this predicament were in now".

The next day while Autumn was in school I decided to pick some food up for her when she got out. I don't know why I decided to go to f*****g Cookout let alone go inside I bumped straight into Danisha and my sister Jessica.

They were sitting right by the door so when I got out my car they f*****g saw me and when I walked in they called me over.

"Wassup little brother"? Jessica said with this grin on her face like she was up to something.

"Nothing Jess" I said annoyed.

"Well hey Josh I know you see me sitting here" Danisha said.

I turned and looked at her "wassup" was all I said and her and Jessica laughed.

"Little bro relax you baby momma is nowhere around sit chill".

Danisha scooted over and I reluctantly sat down beside her and she started talking.

"How you been"? She asked me.

"Straight just getting ready for my baby boy to come" I said looking at my phone.

"You know I just want to apologize for my action while we was together you really hurt me with getting Autumn pregnant".

"Apology accept and I apologize for the way I was treating you as well when we was together I wasn't right I should've at least cared more about your feelings" I said being sincere looking her in the eyes.

"Awww aren't they cute"? My sister Jessica said.

I turned and she had her phone up recording us. "What are you doing"? She replied "on live I needed to capture this moment".

I smacked her phone down and got up "I need to be going I gotta pick up Autumn". Before they could say anything smart I walked away when my phone ding. Looking at it my sister had tagged my ass in her live. I shook my head and removed myself from the tag why the f**k was she so damn petty.

Once I got the food and was walking to the car my phone rings it was Autumn's number "hello, you good"?

"Josh this is Arkel Autumn's water broke in gym she's well we're on the way to the hospital". I dropped the food and rushed to unlock my car before speeding off doing ninety all the to the hospital.

"When I got there Arkel met me and my parents who showed up around the same time". "Where is she is she okay" Arkel looked me up and down I guess she saw the live. She replied, "Yea she's good their changing her and what not I'm on the phone with her mom she's in room three forty seven".

I hurried on the elevator along with my parents "in a few hours son your going to be a father". My dad said as the elevator went up I immediately threw up the thought of this baby really coming today was making me nervous.

"Awe s**t hunny look what you made him do" my mom said and my dad answered,

"ain't no need to be nervous now son s**t" I wiped my mouth and the elevator open I hurried off and went to find the room.

Finally at the end of the hall there was the room I opened the door and walked in and they was hooking her up to these machines. She looked at me and rolled her eyes "s**t now I had to deal with Autumn and her attitude.

I got close to her and whispered "it's not what you think Autumn" she held her hands up "whatever right now the only thing that matter is delivering this baby".

Autumn was in labor now for about three hours and now her contractions were getting bad.

"Autumn baby you alright"? I asked as she squeezed the f**k out my hand and tossed and turned.

"Ask them Josh if I can get the epidural now please" I turned to my mom and she shook her head "Autumn your not four centimeters yet"? My mom said.

"Oh my God it's been a hour already Josh look down there tell me what you see"! She said.

I looked at my dad who was laughing and then to my mom who was grinning.

"JOSH"! She said squeezing my hand again.

"Look just relax okay here how about you get up and move around you haven't done the baby momma dance".

She looked at me "the what"?

I helped her up and told my momma to play the song and she started laughing. "Come on it may help with the dilation". She got up and started moving her body and I danced along with her I didn't know Arkel was recording, but she was. Everyone was laughing and smiling when the door opened and her mom comes in.

"Ma thank God you made it" she said" her mom smiles "you know I wouldn't miss my grandbaby being born what you doing trying to dance the baby out"?

She sat back down on the bed and got comfortable "he's hurting me ma".

Her mother replied "how much are you dilated"?

"that ugly fat nurse said I was only dilated three centimeters but I don't think she knows what she's talking about".

Another contraction came through and it was getting painful. "Let me go get this nurse" her mother said.

Autumn

Nurse whatever her name was came in and check me again "woah your at five centimeters". "Epidural PLEASE"! I yelled.

Three more hours passed and now it felt like I had to take a s**t "I gotta take a poop" everyone was chilling on their phone or sleeping like Josh ass.

"Girl don't do it your ready to push I'm going to tell the nurses"! Josh's mom said as Arkel woke him up by slapping his chest. My mom came beside me and said "it time baby your going to be a momma" she was crying and everything.

Josh came beside me soon as the doctor made her way back in "alright I heard you felt like you was ready to push good thing I was on my way back to you LET HAVE A BABY"!

My mom and Josh held up my legs "Alright Autumn give me a big push" I pushed with everything in me "1,2,3 good take a breath".

I did so and then it was time for me to try again "Push,push, push...." I did again and I heard Josh ask "what's that black stuff"?

The doctor replied "that's your baby boy's hair" Josh looked like he was about to faint that his mom came and stood behind him just in case.

"Push Autumn he's right there" I pushed again and I heard "there's more of his head good, good he coming out"! Josh fumbled back a little and Arkel replied "OH MY s**t GIRL HE'S ALMOST OUT"!

Next thing I know I'm hearing cries "you did it Autumn he's here" my mom said kissing my sweaty forehead.

"My girl did it she's now a mom" Arkel said to me posting on her snap. I looked over to Josh who was looking at me and he said "you did it our boy is here".

I don't know what happened next, but all I saw was black darkness.
