IZABELLA We arrived at the front gate maybe an hour later, but rather than driving in smoothly and parking, the driver slowed the car to a halt as we approached the gates. Confused, I leaned forward to peer out through the windshield and found an unfamiliar limo parked in front, slightly blocking our path. Security surrounded the limo, and after a moment of scanning them, the guards in front of me exchanged glances I couldn’t read. Eventually, the one in the passenger seat got out and walked over to his colleagues. I watched them exchange words and wondered who was in the limo. Clearly an uninvited guest judging by the way everyone was behaving. The windows were tinted so I couldn’t get the slightest peek at who was in the limo.
