Jane’s pov
“Well that was an interesting breakfast, don’t you think?” I asked Asyra. She nodded her head, she seemed really tired after her wolf took over, but I was now on guard duty and I needed to get some more of the coronation stuff done. She would be able to go take a nap soon.
We walked out to where the tents were, I was thrilled when I saw that the decorating and set up was almost complete. I walked into the first tent and noticed the fairy lights and the flower centerpieces on the table. Thankfully we have had a decently warm December plus we are wolves, we give off enough body heat as well. I was checking one of the one heater that wouldn’t turn on when I heard Asyra scream. I ran out of the tent and relaxed when I realized Zeke was chasing her and Luca around the yard. Zeke gave me the thumbs up and I went back to what I was doing.
“We have the best mate ever.” She said in a dreamy voice. I couldn’t help but agree with her.
Thirty minutes, and four wolves, later we finally got the heater working. We are holding the Coronation in the great hall where ours was held, which will involve only the high ranking wolves, vampires, humans, witches, and elders. Then we will move outside to the tents for a great feast and dancing which will include anyone that wants to attend. We sent out invitations to all the packs, covens, clans, and human cities and the leaders returned cards with the number of those wishing to attend from their own. I was excited to see Hazel and Stricker once again, I know their clan has been doing really well and that they had another child a few years ago.
I looked around the tent and it was absolutely gorgeous. The fairy lights will give a beautiful soft white glow, different colored lilies, roses, and sunflowers littered the tables with candles on mirrors to enhance the glow. I smiled at the outcome, I noticed one omega working hard on the last table. Edith, she has had it hard, her mate rejected her because of her rank and she was abused by most of her packmates. She has been here for a few months now but she is a hard worker and is slowly putting weight on. I pray the Moon Goddess will give her a second chance mate worthy of her, she just needs to be patient. “Edith, this is looking amazing!” I said as I placed my hand gently on her shoulder.
She stiffened for a moment before she relaxed, “Thank you Luna, I am pleased with the way this is all coming together.” She smiled at me as she placed the last mirror and candle on the table.
I felt bad for her, she shouldn’t have to go through the things she has been. “Go have some lunch and take a break, it’s going to be a crazy night.” I smiled at her and she chuckled.
“It is going to be a crazy one isn’t it?” I nodded in response, she sighed, “Is he coming?” She asked me, and I could feel how worried she was.
“I don’t know, his alpha agreed to come, but I don’t know the names of who plans to attend.” I told her as I gently rubbed her arm. “I suggest you stay away from him if he does come tonight. Now, go eat.”
“Alright I am going, thank you Luna.” She chuckled then bowed her head and headed off towards the castle kitchens.
I took one last look around before I exited the tents. I knew Zeke took Asyra with him to his office for the last bit of paperwork he had for today. I looked up and could see her sitting in the big bay window of his office. She was still obviously tired but looked much better.
I walked into the castle through the door to the kitchen and to the stairs. Once I was at his office I opened the large mahogany door, “Oh my dear Luna, how are the tents coming along?” He asked me as he looked me over with his eyes. I could see the lust reflecting in them.
I smiled as Chastity's voice rang through my mind, “Hmm, I would like some of that before the coronation.” I chuckled and linked Zeke.
“Anyone available to keep tabs on Asyra?” He smiled at me as his eyes glazed over.
“Asyra honey, Grandpa Sean is looking for you, he will meet you at the end of the hall.” She stood up and ran out the door yelling for grandpa, her white dress bouncing as she ran away.
I looked back at my handsome mate and smiled mischievously at him. “Hmm, there you go darling, now get that sexy ass over here so I can bend it over this desk of mine.” He didn’t have to tell me twice.
I slowly walked over to him as I gently pulled my shirt off over my head, then slipped my black flats off followed by my leggings. I stood in front of him wearing a dark grey lace bra and a matching thong. His eyes turned black as he looked me up and down, I reached behind me and slowly began to undo my bra. My breasts had goosebumps on them from the cool air, Zeke stood up and closed the distance between us. He took one in his mouth and I couldn’t help but moan out in pleasure.
I looked into his eyes and they were still pitch black, he pulled me forward kissing my mark. He had marked me a second time covering up the marks that Lyrion had left so long ago.
I sighed as I felt his erection on my abdomen. I moaned again which sent him overboard. He flung me onto the desk on my stomach. I don’t know when he took his pants off but before I could fully register where I was he ripped the thong off and was thrusting into me.
I cried out as he ravaged my body, he wrapped his arm around my waist and began to rub my c**t. I could feel the heat building up, “c*m for me baby.” That was all it took, my legs began to shake as the orgasm racked through my body. He rubbed my c**t harder making my orgasm last longer. He bit my ear as his hot seed pumped deep into me.
I turned around and kissed him, “Hmm, that was fun.” I bit his lip a little and he groaned in response. “Sadly we have to get dressed so we can get ready for the coronation. Guests will start arriving in about an hour.”
He let out a deep sigh then nodded, “Alright, let’s go shower and get cleaned up.” I smiled and I knew what he intended to do. I picked up my clothes and took the secret passage, next to the fireplace, that went directly to our room. I could feel him directly behind me so I picked up the pace. “Oh I see what we are doing.” He said and I laughed as he chased me until we were in the shower once again in each other's arms.
Asyra’s pov
I was walking around with Grandpa Sean, we were enjoying the garden. Even in the winter it is a fun place to be. Dad always plays with us out here, last summer we even set up some tents and went camping. Every year mom sets up a huge christmas arrangement, I asked my mom why we celebrate christmas. She told me that as Royals it is our duty to celebrate as many holidays as we can. We celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah, Easter and Passover, so many holidays we almost always have something going on.
“Grandpa, can we play hide and seek?” He thought about it for a minute, I could tell he was really thinking.
“Not today, we have less than an hour before the coronation and right now it is too dangerous to play hide and seek after what happened yesterday.” I sighed but nodded my head.
“Is it true that there have been more rogues this year than there have been in the last ten years?” He froze in place and looked at me with worry.
“How do you know about that, your father does not typically tell you those things.” I shrugged, I didn’t know, I just know what Anja tells me. He looked at me trying to figure out what I was thinking.
I let out a sigh, “I only know what Anja tells me. She says that we should be careful with what we do. She says there are very bad men trying to get me.” I looked down at my hands, I didn't want to see Grandpa’s angry face. I know he will be angry with me.
I felt his hands on my shoulders and looked up to see he was now kneeling right in front of me. “Anja is a very powerful wolf, does she know who is after you?” He asked, I could tell he was really worried. Maybe I shouldn’t have said anything.
I really didn’t know who, Anja doesn’t even know. I shrugged my shoulders again. “She doesn’t know. She says she can just feel it.” Grandpa pulled me in for a hug then stood up carrying me. I know I am ten but I am really small for my age. I am the shortest wolf, I stand at four foot two, the same height as the first graders in the pack school. Mom sent me there for a few years then decided to homeschool Luca and I. Zac has been homeschooled now for six years as he had other things to study as well. He still did sports through school, going to his football and baseball games is so much fun.
I looked up and saw a bunch of cars starting to flood in, some of the castle staff were directing where they should park. I suddenly felt like I was being watched, I turned where I felt it coming from but didn’t see anything. I could feel a knot forming in my stomach as my Grandpa carried me back into the castle. He set me down and straightened my thick white dress.
“Okay, Dad says he is waiting for you in the great hall, I will walk with you, okay?” I nodded my head and took his hand. Being next to Grandpa always made me feel safe, just like being next to my parents. We walked for a few minutes before Dad came into sight, I let go of Grandpa and ran to him, mom was standing at the front with Luca.
Luca ran towards Dad and I, “What is wrong?” I knew I should tell dad that I have felt like I am being watched but I didn’t want to ruin Zac’s big day. I would tell him after the coronation when things start to calm down.
I put on my fake smile and shook my head, “Nothing is wrong, I am just still tired from Anja taking control the way she did.” I looked back at my Dad and asked him, “How are the twins?”
He looked at me perplexed, he was about to say something when his eyes glazed over, “Well aren’t you just the little Psychic. The twins are doing wonderful, thanks to you.” He smiled at me then kissed me on the forehead. “Now we need to head up to the stage, you both need to sit and at least look attentive.” I nodded my head in understanding, so did Luca.
I could feel someone’s eyes on me and started scanning the room but we were the only ones here. I heard the big wooden doors open and watched as my Mom ran down the aisle to someone I rarely see. Uncle Marcus and Auntie Liz. I smiled when I saw them and followed Mom to greet them.
“Oh Marcus! It is so wonderful to see you both again!” Mom gave him a hug and I felt someone run past me and let out a battle cry. Luca and Marcus always do this, I would jump in on it but I am way too tired. I still felt like I was being watched.
“Maybe we should tell dad?” Anja said, sounding uncomfortable. I mentally shook my head before I responded to her.
“No, we can’t ruin this day for Zac, after the coronation I will tell dad.” She huffed at me but agreed. I will not be the reason this day is ruined. I watched as Luca and Marcus manhandled each other, I stepped over to Liz and gave her a hug. I missed them but I just want to go to bed. Thankfully Dad says the coronation itself should only take about twenty minutes.
I zoned out as I felt more and more uncomfortable in my surroundings. I grabbed my Dad's hand and we walked up to our seats. In order from left to right at the top of the stairs were five chairs, my chair was first, then my Mom’s, after that was my Dads, Zac’s and Luca’s. I took my seat and waited, I felt uneasy and my mom could tell.
She linked me, “Honey I can tell something is bothering you, tell me, please.” I took a deep breath but figured I should tell my mom then if she can notice, plus she will probably just read my mind if I don’t.
“Since Grandpa and I left the garden I have felt like there are constant eyes on me. Not in the good way Mama, I feel like they mean to harm me.” I looked down at my hands and I felt my Mom grab one of them.
“Thank you for telling me, you are to be by my side the entire time. You will not leave my side no matter what. If you want to go to bed after dinner then I will go with you. I will not have you away from me.” She growled some and it instantly grabbed dad's attention. After a few minutes I heard my father give a small growl as well before taking a deep breath. I sank further back into my chair.
My Mom tugged gently on my hand and I looked at her, she gently tapped her leg and I quickly moved into her lap. I finally felt safe, at least for now. I knew my Mama and Daddy would always protect me. The Elders started to walk up the stairs and he eyed me. I saw my mom's eyes glaze over and a moment later he nodded his head to me and her. He turned around as Zac started to make his way down the aisle. I zoned out and started to look through the crowd, in the back I noticed a man with dark brown hair down to his shoulders and he made eye contact with me. He wasn’t watching the coronation, he was watching me.
I never once broke eye contact, I can tell this man is not a wolf, I don’t know what he is but he is definitely not a wolf. He licked his lips, I linked my mom, “Mom the man in the back with the long dark hair. He won’t stop looking at me, he has kept eye contact with me since just after the ceremony started.”
I could feel my mom starting to scan the crowd, he still didn’t lose eye contact. I heard my dad’s voice in my head. “Honey, we see him, you’re okay and good job, keep staring him down. I have the guards at the ready to take him before he can leave the hall.” I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding.
“See it was a good thing you finally spoke up.” I mentally rolled my eyes at my wolf. I continued to stare this man down and he continued to make eye contact with me. He knew I could see him, what was he though? I saw Anja shrug in our mind, she didn’t like this fool one bit.
“Now rise as Crowned Prince Zacarius Greyfang.” He rose and walked up to sit in the chair next to my father. He turned around and applause roared through the great hall. I looked back where the man was but he was gone.
I linked both Mom and Dad, “He’s gone.” They both began scanning the crowd. I continued to scan hoping that the guards got him. I looked back at Dad and could see the anger in his eyes. They didn’t get him. I wrapped my arms around my mom’s waist and she pulled me closer. I could feel her stress, I could feel my own stress. I can just feel something bad is going to happen tonight.
My mom stood up and I wrapped my legs around her waist as she carried me. We neared the exit and I could smell something unfamiliar. Fear grew in my chest as more knots formed in my stomach. “Anja, what is going to happen?” I asked her.
I could tell she was hesitant to answer, “I don’t know. But I think you’re right. I think they will succeed in getting us, and no matter what our mother will die trying to protect us.” She said sadly.
“If it comes to that, we have to end it.” I told her as I laid my head on my mothers shoulder.
“I think you’re right. It would be better for them to take us for whatever reason than to have someone die because of us.” I said. I inhaled my mothers calming scent, tonight may be the last time I get to.
It wasn’t long before we were sitting in the tents waiting for Zac and my father to arrive for dinner. I looked around the tent at all the people, are any of them in on it? I thought to myself, will mom and dad get over me being gone?
I looked out of the tent and could see the sliver of the moon, “Moon Goddess, please help them. They will need your help when I am taken.” I silently prayed to her.
