Lucian lingered in the doorway longer than I liked. His eyes didn’t soften, they never really did but there was something quieter in them rather calculating and off.
He approached me and leaned in saying, “ O know your lift secret.”
My breath caught as I tried to keep myself composed to avoid any unnecessary movements.
Then he chuckled and said, “ I’m joking, don’t you take jokes ?”
“Anyways I came here to tell you,” he said, folding his arms, “there’s a summit. In three days. You’ll be attending with me.”
