“Now what?” Noah’s voice came into Mia’s mind as they crossed into the kingdom.
“No f*****g idea” Mia answered.
They ran in wolf form up to the castle as Mia shifted back handed them blankets from the deck box.
“What a fuckin trip!” Caleb exclaimed as they sat down around the back yard table. All of them sat except for Elena. She noted the empty chair between Lukas and Noah and opted to stand to the side, still unsure of the group.
Mia stood to join her. “I know wolves have let you down in the pas” she told her softly. “And I hope not to do that anymore”. She gestured to their motley crew.
“This is Caleb and Emily. They’re my best friends since daycare. My gammas. And they’re also mates” she introduced them to Elena.
Emily came over and hugged her which Elena awkwardly stood
