Unknown POV . . . . The room was dimly lit, the curtains drawn, and the air stale. it had been years since sunlight had danced across these worn-out floorboards. In the corner of the room, sat an lady and man, bound tightly to chairs with ropes. Their faces shows sadness and the fragility that comes from enduring a life of unimaginable cruelty and abuse, in their eyes conveyed the tale of a life lived before being bound to the fate of captivity. They had been kidnapped many years back, and their quality of life had reduced to unimaginable cruelty and abuse. They were provided with the bare minimum needed to survive. Small portions of stale bread and water were their only sustenance. The room had no source of warmth, leaving them shivering in the cold. They were denied any dignity, their clothes tattered and torn, their hair unkempt, and their bodies covered in bruises and scars. Yet, amidst the darkness, a glimmer of hope refused to fade. Despite all odds, the man and the lady held onto a flicker of resilience. They whispered words of encouragement to each other in their moments of despair, reminding themselves that they were not alone in this cruel world. As the years passed, they hatched countless plans to escape, but each attempt ended in failure. The captor seemed to anticipate their every move, always one step ahead. Fear began to consume them, and hope became a distant memory. The kidnapper would occasionally spend a minute or two to check on them after many months, when he decides to take them a visit. The kidnapper, a figure in the shadows, reveled in their suffering. He was a sadist who delighted in tormenting his captives, both physically and mentally. He relished in their helplessness and enjoyed exerting his power over them. To him, they were mere playthings, to be toyed with until he grew bored. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years. Time slipped away, leaving the couples lost in a seemingly endless cycle of torment. Their bodies grew weak from malnourishment, their spirits crushed under the weight of captivity. On this particular day, the kidnapper had come to visit them, his footsteps creaking the wooden floor. He reached for a glass of water on the dusty table, gulped it down, and turned to face the ancient duo. “Well, well, well, you two are still alive,” he laughed maliciously. The lady, who had barely spoken in ages, mustered up the courage to ask, “why are you doing this to us? What is it that you want?” The kidnapper’s face contorted with fury as if the woman’s words were a sharp blade, piercing through his skin. “What I want?” he bellowed. “I want to see you people suffer. This is my way of gaining power and control.” “Please let us go” begged the man. The kidnapper laughed, "let you go? After all these years, I doubt you’d last a day out there. You’re pathetic creatures who are better off rotting in here.” The kidnapper's footsteps echoed as he left the room, leaving behind the scent of contempt and despair. The couple sat there, dejected, barely alive, and without hope, they wondered if they would ever see daylight again. The kidnapper had robbed them of their dignity, family, and freedom and it felt as if their life was nothing but a dim memory. Once, they had lived vibrant lives. They had dreams, aspirations, and loved ones. As time passed, the man and the lady discovered that their shared experiences had formed an unbreakable bond between them. They became each other's pillars of support, finding solace in the understanding they had developed throughout their captivity. But all of that was taken away on a fateful night when their paths crossed with a deranged kidnapper. Snatched away from their world, they had been thrust into a nightmare that seemed to have no end in sight. "Dear, I don't know how our daughter is copping, I want to know how she is, is she alive or not, can she still remember us,"the woman said The room, although stifling, held the bittersweet solace of being the only space they could share their pain. They longed for their daughter's warmth in their lives. The kidnapper, a cruel figure who reveled in their suffering, had taken away their freedom, but their love for their daughter could never be extinguished. In their darkest moments, they whispered stories of their little girl, recounting cherished memories in hushed voices. Their laughter echoed through the room as they recalled her first steps, the sound of her voice calling them "mama" and "papa," and the funny moments that brought tears of joy to their eyes. With each memory, they found strength in their shared love for their daughter. They held on to the hope that somewhere, somehow, she was still out there, waiting to be found. They promised each other that when they were free, they would search the world for her, never giving up until she was safely in their arms once again. As days turned into months, a spark of determination flickered within them. They devised secret plans, leaving no stone unturned in their quest to uncover the truth about their daughter's whereabouts. The small, dimly lit room felt heavy with silence. The man and the lady, bound to chairs, exchanged glances filled with a mix of sadness and longing. They were not just prisoners in this cold, dark space; they were also parents whose hearts ached for their missing daughter. As tears welled up in their eyes, the man, his voice filled with sorrow, began to speak. "Do you remember when she was just a little girl, running through the fields with laughter in her voice? Those days were filled with so much joy and innocence." The lady nodded, her voice quivering as she joined in. "Yes, I remember her beautiful smile, her soft curls dancing in the wind. She was our world, our reason to keep going every day." They held on to these memories, clinging to the hope of one day being reunited with their beloved daughter. Time seemed to lose meaning in their captivity. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years. Their daughter's absence haunted their every thought, a wound that refused to heal.
