After an hour, well, it seemed like an hour anyway, but was actually just about a minute, everyone was cheering wildly, so I decided to open my eyes for a brief moment of clarity. Josh was going down the stairwell with no shattered bones or blood on his hands. I leaped up and applauded along with the rest of the audience, choosing to pretend I'd been watching. I'd have to tell him that the next time I couldn't make it. I've just squandered his extra ticket by not even bothering to see it.
He rushed up to me and wrapped his arms around me. "Wow, it was incredible!" I burst out laughing. I chirped happily.
He chuckled and shook his head in amusement. “Yeah? "Did that seem okay through your eyelids?" he said, his laughter becoming
