WORST NIGHTMARE (An unexpected encounter)

A WEEK LATER
( it's the week days, a free week for the mother and daughter as they decided to stroll out Jade was with them but he didn't follow them as he whine about him wanting to rest back at home)
Jasmine: you have lot of fun today don't you
Adriana: But it still feels left out as daddy is not here, he is more fun than you
Jasmine: ( Taken aback as she scoff) you know me before him don't you and don't forget he ditch us
Adriana: still, daddy is more fun bleh! ( ran forward as she was suddenly pulled back)
Jasmine: easy, there is a road ahead ( both stood still watching the car passed by until it was time to leave)
Adriana: wait mom
Jasmine: what, it's getting late
Adriana: I want that ( pointing to a stall across the road selling a cotton candy) get that for me and a whole lot for dad then we leave
Jasmine: you really care about that jerk ( muttered to herself as she watch the traffic light turned red for the cars giving her a signal to go) okay baby let's hurry up
Adriana: Not so fast i got to fix my shoe laces ( did her shoe well and stand straight) Am done
Jasmine: ( Took her little hand leading her along not looking back at the traffic sign again when immediately a loud horn of the car jolt her sensing they are in the middle of the road already with a car almost hitting them if not because the driver was a caution one making her hold unto Adriana to herself daze for a while)
Driver: ( Pop his head out quickly before his boss get involved) you know i almost hit you two, get your eyes to the sign before crossing, it turns green already!!
Jasmine: ( Bow her head repeatedly in apologies) Am sorry ( it's obvious from the exotic and richly tinted car that the owner is one of influence and she wants no trouble as she quickly dash to the other side quickly know if Jade was here he would have scold her and call her stupid)
Driver: ( plop his head back gaze slightly at his boss curtly) it's nothing to worry about sir
Maxwell: ( His eyes trail after the lady just now and that recognition snap at him) Jasmine?, stop the car!
Driver: ( jolt by his snap as he look at him through the glass) is everything alright
Maxwell: I said stop the damn car fool!! ( glare at him which he waste no time in getting out after the lady who seems happy as she converse with the kid beside her, caught her by her arm sensing that familiar feeling and that intoxicating scent of hers as she faced him) I will be damn ( muttered to himself, he isn't mistaken as it is her, those alluring scarlet eyes of hers he couldn't forget, she looks more matured now but still the same face, knows he can't be mistaken and anything to compliment beautiful she is, sense her confused gaze knowing it's cus of the shade he was putting on) Jasmine
Jasmine: ( heard that familiar dreadful voice and her heart quicken in fear, her suspicious was confirmed when he took off the shade as she almost yelp out lost of words as she fight back the tears which was building in, he is obviously still handsome as ever but still, that aura of arrogance is still evident on his face)
Adriana: ( Didn't get what's going on but feel her mom isn't happy to see this stranger and all of her is emitting sadness, tug the stranger sleeve when she couldn't reach to seperate their hands) you, leave my mom alone, you are hurting her
Maxwell: ( looks down at the little girl and back to her) is she?
Adriana: ( snap back to reality hearing that, j******f his hand and hold Adriana closer to herself) Think you've mistaken me for someone else mister ( hold up Adriana walking away hastily not looking back)
Maxwell: ( watch her leave as he smirk) trying to get away from me ( stroll back to his car) call barley and tell him i need him to look into someone
Driver: Right away sir ( Don't dare make a mistake seeing his seriousness)
Maxwell: ( loosen his tie resting his head on the car seat close his eye) Jasmine ( muttered to himself)
