Chapter 5 Sophia

Sophia: I woke up to an empty bed, the sun shining into the window, and the delicious smell of food. I threw on a hoodie I found and my panties and followed my nose to the kitchen where Ashton was making breakfast. "Good morning Sophia" he says as he fills a plate up of French toast, eggs, hashbrowns and some bacon. He walks over and hands the plate to me and gives me a peck on the check. On the breakfast bar there is syrup and silverware along with a cup of orange juice. I smile and respond with a good morning as I sit down and prepare to eat. Ashon makes himself a plate turns off the stove then walks over and joins me to eat. "Oh yeah, Sophia. Happy birthday." He says as we finish. I blush a little and say thank you, cuz today I turn 18 and I will soon discover that today is not going to be a standard birthday for me.

After kissing Ashton good bye, I went back home where I found my parents waiting for me "we need to talk" they said. "Now that you're 18 we think it's time you knew" as they talk I look at them in confusion "Sophia, honey, you're adopted." My mouth hits the floor, "what?!!" I mean I always had a sneaking suspicion in my gut but I didnt want to believe it. "Um, ok thanks for telling me this, but I'm going to need some time to think and process this" I say as I walk to my room and pack a few changes of clothes into a bag and drive back over to Ashton's house. I knock and he opens the door a split second later and I walk in and inform of him of what my parents just told me. He nods and acts like he already knew that something was not correct.

"What, you knew?!!" I ask in shock.

"No, I didnt know for sure but I know things about that you didnt even know." He responded. Then he gestured for me to sit down.

Ashton: I took a deep breath and prepared myself to tell her everything. "Sophia, there's something about me that I have kept secret from you, however I am now going to share this secret with you and I need you to keep an open mind." She nods and licks her lips, making me fight my inner self to not have a repeat of last night. "I am a werewolf, and you my dear, are my mate. which means that you are a werewolf too. There's a whole other world that you didnt know about but now I hope to bring you into it and spend the rest of your life in it with me by your side." She looks lost so I gently grab her hand and lead her to a beautiful clearing in the woods and shift to my wolf right in front of her. I expected her to run away but instead she walked up and began to run her fingers through my pitch black fur. My wolf has fur as black as black can possibly be, he stands at about 5 and a half feet at the shoulder and he has golden eyes.

Sophia continues to bet me and just walks around me, taking it all in. I give her a small lick when she gets back around to my head and the shock of it all slowly wears off and she begins to show amazement in her eyes. "Can you teach me how to shift?" She asks. I shift back to my human form and put on some pants that I had stashed in various places of the forest for when I come back from runs. "Yeah I can but I will warn you that it will hurt, a lot but you'll get used to shifting and so will your body so the pain will subside eventually with the more times you shift.
