Without hesitation, she glided across the room not as smoothly as she’d like because of her limp. Stopping before him he stayed sitting on the bed but moved his legs apart to reach out and pull her between them. He looked down at her legs to see the pinkish scars on her knee eventually they would fade to a pale peach. Moving up he touched another scar that was on her stomach then the other two just below her bra.
“Is something wrong,” she whispered as she watched him tentatively touch her scars.
“No, I just realized I haven’t really looked at your body closely. This is the first time I’ve really noticed your scars because before I was so focused on giving you pleasure,” he softly touched his lips to her belly making it quiver.
“Do they disgust you,” she softly asked.
His head jerked up to gaze into her face, “Of course not, why would you think that.”
She shrugged her shoulders before answering, “I don’t know, you’re the first man to see me since the accident.”
“Faith your beautiful,” he moved his hands up to span her waist before noticing three more small scars going across her belly.
Faith reached up to unsnap her bra letting it fall at their feet this allowed him to see the other scars marring her beautiful body. He reached up and touched the one going under her right breast. Moving up he ran his finger across the one traveling from her left breast up to her left shoulder.
She put her hands on his shoulders, “The glass cut me up, but the big scar on my stomach is from my internal bleeding they had to cut me open. The one on my left shoulder is from a piece of glass which stabbed me.”
Kincade wanted to feel every inch of her against him but knew they were having a deep conversation now. Pulling her to him, he held her stomach against his face, “I’m just glad you lived but I’m sorry Julie was killed.”
She took a deep breath then released it as she asked, “Would you prefer to have my sister here instead.”
He pulled away to look up into her sad face, “I liked your sister very much and I’m glad she gave me Gabe, but I was never in love with her.”
She hesitantly smiled then reached up to run her hands through his dark hair, “All right.”
He sat quietly as she pulled the suit jacket down his shoulders then tossed it on the footboard at the bottom of the bed. While she was doing this, he removed his tie then tossed it on the floor next to her bra. She returned to unbutton the shirt then ran her hands down his firm chest feeling the muscles flex in response. Shrugging out of his shirt she laid it on top of his jacket after which he pulled her against him. This time they were naked flesh against naked flesh nuzzling his face between her breasts she fanned her fingers through his hair. When he took one of her n*****s into his hot mouth Faith’s head fell back allowing her body to arch. Moving over to the other n****e, he gave it the exact same attention as the first.
She could feel her legs going weak, so she pulled away from him, “What’s wrong,” he asked.
“My legs are going to give out on me,” she explained.
Reaching out he picked her up and flopped her onto the bed where he turned himself, so he was above. He still had his pants on, but right now, all he wanted to do was touch her silky skin. She still wore her panties, but right now, he was more interested in her lush breasts. Her n*****s were getting harder as he bit down on one causing a moan deep in her throat. With one between his teeth, he tugged it while his tongue licked across the tip. Faith cried out in pleasure and pain as he tortured first one n****e then the other. Finally, he moved down kissing his way to her stomach, he swirled his tongue around her bellybutton before moving down to the top of her panties. Pulling them down her hips, she lifted her bottom, so he could take them down her legs and off. Gently he kissed his way up the leg without the bad knee to her creamy thigh. He could smell her essence it made him groan then in a split second his hot mouth was on her.
“Oh God,” she moaned.
“Mm…you taste good,” he breathed against her flesh.
His tongue dipped, swirled, and then his mouth sucked her into him. She bucked up against his mouth as wave after wave of sensations rolled through her body.
“I swear you’re trying to kill me,” she rasped.
“No just taking you to heaven for a while,” he said just before two of his fingers slid into her then his tongue swirled around her sweet nub.
Faith’s body rocked with the motion of his fingers as he took her higher and higher. She felt the tension building in her body, but she wanted him inside when she reached her c****x.
“Please Cade, I want you inside me don’t make me wait any longer,” she pleaded through her moaning.
“Not yet let go for me,” he continued to move his fingers and lick her sweet flesh.
“I can’t, I don’t want to,” she felt herself at the breaking point.
“You can and will,” he said just as his fingers harshly plunged one more time.
The second he said this she exploded into a thousand spasms of pleasure. Her body tensed and quivered as a wonderful rapture coursed through her body. While she was still humming, he quickly removed the remainder of his clothes then returned to the bed. With her still reeling from the c****x, he slipped right into her intensely hot body. Faith lifted herself up, so he could move deeper inside and felt her body bow then tremble when he filled her. He knelt between her legs with himself completely sheathed inside and believed she’s taken him to heaven instead. Taking a firm grip of her hips, he started to move in a slower motion. Faith wanted to be a part of the action, so she grabbed his shoulders lifting herself up, so she was straddling him. Kincade was still on his knees with the use of her feet, she pumped herself up and down. Picking up speed, he would lift himself up, as she would come down not being able to hold back any longer, he flung her down on the bed. His thrusts became faster and more demanding their bodies were slick with sweat and then Faith found her release once again.
“Oh, my God,” she cried out as she tightened around him literally pulling him deeper into her.
He threw back his head and groaned as if his very life was ending while she emitted her cry of satisfaction. She practically screamed out his name and while still flying on top of the world they flopped down next to each other with legs entwined. His arm lay across her stomach while her arms sprawled out away from her body. Both were breathing erratically trying to figure out what, was going on.
“Cade,” Faith gasped out.
“Faith I love you,” he said when she whispered his name.
She was stunned and slowly sitting up she looked down into his violet eyes and saw he was serious, “You love me.”
Not exactly, what he’d been expecting her to say but he did spring it on her, “Yes, I’m positive I love you.”
“But I don’t know, oh boy this is big,” Faith stammered.
“Faith don’t over think this just feel,” he reached up and brushed her hair away from her sweat drenched shoulder.
“Cade, I don’t know how I feel, no that’s not true. My feelings have been all over the place since I meet you. Can I have this and not feel like I’m betraying Julie.”
“I understand, but you’re not betraying Julie because I never loved her,” he pulled her down to him for a soft kiss.
“But” she began to say but he interrupted her.
“Your sister and I never dated long enough to develop feelings. She had my child, but people have children all the time without being in love or having a meaningful relationship. As for Christina, because I can see your wheels turning, I was never in love with her. I don’t even think she was in love with me I was her money ticket now with all this said how do you feel.”
She was still thinking when he again tenderly kissed her, and it had nothing to do with passion. She could feel the love in the kiss earlier today, she was beginning to believe she was in love with him know she was sure of it.
“Don’t think any more just feel,” he whispered around her mouth.
He didn’t release her mouth for long just enough to say this then was kissing her again. She felt the bottom of her stomach drop then her heart burst with love and joy. Pushing him away from her so she could look right into his eyes and what she saw was uncertainty.
Leaning down she placed a sweet kiss on his lips before moving slightly away, “I love you Cade.”
Seeing the love reflected from her indigo eyes, he knew she spoke the truth, “Faith.”
“Don’t talk anymore Cade just make love to me again,” she whispered.
He stopped thinking and talking all he wanted was to feel every inch of her all over again but this time with love not lust. Kincade started at her lips then traveled down every inch of her sweet body then back up to again kiss her lovely lips. Faith felt the world shift into something dreamy instead of a hurried passion. This time he made slow love to her and when she found paradise it was the most exquisite feeling in the world. He reached his and to him it was nothing he’d ever experienced before because he’s never been in love. As they lay entwined in each other, the world seemed right for two people who never expected to find love.
Christina woke the next morning feeling much more content with a better view on what she needed to do. After she followed Kincade and the slut to his parent’s house, she left to find some entertainment of her own. She found it in one of her favorite young men she had on speed dial. Getting ready for work, she planned to pay a visit to Faith Summers the minute she returned with Kincade. They needed to have a little talk especially since the night at Kincade’s townhouse she said she wasn’t interested in him and the night of the Charity Ball, so she lied. The man she spent the night with left two hours before six this morning so no need to worry about awkwardness. Driving happily in her car, she entered the parking terrace belonging to McNickels Construction and Architecture. She hoped maybe she could get from the car to her office without running into Megan. Christina couldn’t believe Megan would become her boss especially after everything that happened with Duncan. She was sure, Megan would fire her over it but didn’t. This made her even more wary of the woman, unfortunately luck wasn’t on her side because as she walked in it wasn’t Megan it was Duncan.
“Hello Christina,” he greeted her.
“Hello Duncan, what are you doing here,” she felt herself getting sick.
“I’m here to see Megan,” he didn’t miss the panic look jump into her eyes.
She could almost see him laughing at her, “Are you try to reconcile that just might be a waste of time. You might as well get back with me instead.”
Duncan saw her practically smile over the idea and he was about ready to give her a shock for the day when another female voice spoke, “If you still wanted him, you should have stuck with him instead of jumping all over Cade.”
Christina gasped as Megan came around from behind Duncan, “Kincade and I love each other it’s different.”
Megan laughed, “Not from what I witnessed yesterday when I was at his parent’s house.”
Duncan chuckled under his breath when he saw Christina go beet red with fury, “Now ladies I think the last thing we need is a cat fight.”
Megan smiled up at him then linked her arm through his, “Quite right Duncan dear, now if I remember correctly, you promised me breakfast.”
Duncan leaned down to place a soft kiss on her lips, “Of course darling let’s be on our way.”
Christina stared after the couple with confusion and wondered what, was going on around here. The world was going crazy as far as she could tell going into her office, she confined herself there for the remainder of the day. Not wanting another confrontation with Megan and Duncan let alone hearing anything more about her failed attempt with Kincade.
Kincade woke in the morning to find Faith gone and the first thing he thought was she’d left because he moved to fast. Hurrying he dressed then ran out into the hall where he came face to face with Susan.
“Are you looking for Faith,” she asked.
“Yes, have you seen her.”
She chuckled, “I have.”
He stood looking at her waiting for an answer then he practically shouted at her, “Well!”
She laughed so hard she almost peed herself, “She was whisked away by Mother they’ve been outside for quite some time just talking, I guess. Mother even went with Faith to get Gabe and help get him ready for the day.”
He sighed with relief, “You thought she left,” Susan suddenly concluded.
“Yes, I might have moved a bit too fast.”
His sister unexpectedly smiled, “You declared your love for her.”
Not the least bit surprised by her insight he answered, “I did, and she told me she loved me.”
Susan squealed with excitement, “I’m so happy for you both I really like Faith. Whatever you do don’t screw this up Cade.”
Kincade ran a hand through his hair, “Oh believe me I won’t,” but even after he said that a feeling of doom came over him.
Susan wasn’t so sure everything would be all right especially with someone like Christina lurking about. She hoped Faith would have the strength and heart to give Christina a run for her money, but then let’s hope Cade has enough of both to see into Christina’s black heart. Kincade walked off to his room to get ready for the day and find Faith.
He was anxious to see her this morning besides, he needed to see if it would be all right if they left today. He had to get back to work in the hope of fixing the problems with his buildings. It probably won’t be an issue for Faith because she’d be back in the townhouse alone with just Gabe. He would rather stay here longer and keep her in bed, but he can get her into his big king bed at home just as easily. After grabbing a quick shower, he went down to get a cup of coffee then went in search of Faith and Mother. He found them by the tennis courts sitting on a bench talking quietly.
“Good morning Kincade,” his Mother greeted.
“Good morning you two,” Kincade replied while Faith smiled at him.
“Emily and I have been enjoying a wonderful morning together,” she excitedly stated.
Emily smiled at the girl, “Well I’m all sweaty if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go and clean up your Father is taking me out for lunch today.”
They watched Emily stand up breezing past her son she paused briefly to kiss him on the cheek then took her leave. Faith patted the bench next to her and Kincade eagerly sat down.
Leaning over she kissed him sweetly on the lips, “Now I’ve greeted you properly.”
He chuckled, “I would say so, but I want another,” not giving her any warning he hauled her against him capturing her lips. It was an altogether different kiss than what she’d given him. This kiss was full of heat and desire instantly setting her body to tingle.
“Oh my, I could get used to being greeted this way every morning,” she sighed the minute he released her mouth.
“I could too but we need to talk about something,” he looked out at the tennis courts, “Did you play tennis with Mother.”
She looked confused, “Sort of, because of my knee we just kind of went through some basics. She says I have potential with practice and when my knee is better. Now what is it you’re not telling me.”
He glanced back at her, “It seems there’s an issue with some of my projects at work, so we need to leave early. I don’t want to I’d rather stay here keeping you in bed for the next two days, but I can’t.”
Faith internally relaxed she thought it was something worse, “Of course your work’s important and if you need to get back because of some trouble then let’s go.”
“It doesn’t matter if we stay here or head home, I love you,” he picked up her hands to hold them tightly.
She smiled brightly, “I love you to Cade.”
He kissed her again but slow and gentle, “If I keep doing this, I’ll end up making love to you right here by the tennis courts.”
She laughed, “We’d probably give Emily a heart attack if she caught us.”
He laughed with her, “No doubt I guess we’d better go inform the family and get ready.”
Faith sighed heavily, “Yes, but first I’d like a shower I smell like a hog.”
“No, you don’t you smell wonderfully sweet,” he pulled her to her feet then hand in hand they walked back to the house.
While Faith went upstairs to shower, Kincade went in search of his parents to tell them they had to leave. He found them in the study preparing to leave for the day out. The one thing he admired about his parents was even after so many years of marriage they loved spending time together. He believed they still had a regularly active s*x life, but he didn’t want to know.
“Ah good morning, Cade,” his Father greeted him.
“It is but unfortunately Faith and I must leave today,” he informed them.
Emily was the one to seem more disappointed, “But why dear.”
“A problem arose at work with my projects I need to get back to take care of it,” he frowned ever so slightly.
William noticed it, “But you don’t want to leave yet, am I correct.”
“Yes, I wanted to spend more time with Faith up here, but she says it doesn’t matter one way or the other.”
“She’s such a lovely girl and I feel terrible for treating her the way I did when you first arrived,” Emily looked upset about the whole situation.
“Mother it’s all right I’m sure Faith has forgiven you for everything,” Kincade hugged her.
“I’m just happy you found someone that makes you feel loved Cade,” his father stated as he hugged him.
“Me too but I promise to be back in a few weeks, so you can spend time with Gabe. Feel free to stop by anytime I’m sure Faith would enjoy the company,” he left to search for Susan and say goodbye.
However, he found her in Faith’s room, “It’s not fair why do you have to leave already,” she whined.
Faith laughed at her new friend, “Susan you have to leave tomorrow anyway so what difference will it make if I leave today.”
“Because I wanted to go shopping today and have lunch,” Susan pouted.
Kincade couldn’t help but laugh, which caused both women to look at him, “Sorry I wasn’t eaves dropping I was looking for Susan to say goodbye.”
She eased off the bed where Faith was packing her bags, “Cade I hate your job right now, but I’ll say goodbye.”
They hugged it was amazing how when she first met Kincade he pointed out how much she and Julie didn’t look a thing alike. Now standing here looking at the siblings she noticed it was the same. They resembled each other a bit in the facial features and possibly personality but in looks, Kincade was tall, dark, and intoxicating where Susan was petite, bright, and energetic.
She suddenly realized both were staring at her, “What,” Faith blushed.
Susan chuckled, “You were staring.”
Faith’s cheeks reddened even more, “Sorry, I just remember how Cade told me I looked nothing like my sister I was just thinking you two don’t resemble each other either.”
Kincade groaned, “You would remember that.”
Both women laughed, “I better go pack,” he stated then quickly escaped the room before Faith remembered something else, he said.
Faith finished her packing then went with Susan to pack up Gabe’s stuff all the while having Susan telling her she was going to visit often. Susan worked but not as many hours or days as her husband or Kincade. Faith replied to it would be wonderful to have someone visit so she wouldn’t be alone too much. She told Susan about her friend Sam, but he worked at the same place as her and was taking care of her job. Finally, everything was ready it was time to leave Kincade loaded the baggage into the trunk of the car. Everyone hugged and kissed Gabe while he cooed loudly over all the fuss. Kincade put Gabe in his car seat then strapped him in while everyone hugged Faith which surprised her. It really was as if she was part of the family already going off to the car because she didn’t want to cry in front of everyone. Watching as they all said goodbye to Kincade, Faith felt a little trepidation about heading home. It would put them in easy access for Christina but feeling maybe it was nerves she put the feeling aside.
As they drove back to Kincade’s townhouse they talked easily but didn’t broach how their relationship would be once home. Faith didn’t tell him about her uneasiness over the Christina situation she figured it was better to deal with it herself. Once they arrived at his townhouse and everything was unloaded, Faith fixed them a nice quiet lunch. However, instead of eating the two ended up pushing the food aside and making love on the dining room table. It was a wonderful first day home for the couple that fell in love thanks to a baby who brought them together.
Christina on the other hand spent the night worrying about what the new relationship between Megan and Duncan would mean to her. Would Megan be inclined to fire her from the company because of what she’d done years before. She was younger and thought Duncan with his bad boy illegal activity was a turn on. Now she was a bit older, she decided it was stupid to have gotten involved with him especially when she could have someone like Kincade. She wasn’t going to give up on that relationship just yet and with this new resolve, that hussy Faith was going to get her full force of anger. Kincade was hers and she wasn’t going to give him up without a fight, so Faith was going to feel her vengeance.
