Chapter Three

I didn't have to wait long, for a trucker stopped to help. I attacked him before he made it to the car. When I was finished feeding I wiped the blood away from my mouth with my sleeve and got into the car. When I shut the door I glanced at her now and again, looking like a child being scoled by his parents.

"What have you done?" She asked. I didn't reply.

"You killed that trucker!" I put my head down in shame.

"I had to."

"Why?"

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

"What are you?" I looked at her, and, once again stayed silent.

"You're a vampire aren't you?" I looked up at her in shock. I put my head down again.

"Just go." I said.

"Why?"

"Aren't you afraid?"

"Pts! No way! I've been with far worse than you." I raised my eyebrows and stared at her as if she lost her mind; and let out a small laugh of disbelief.

"You're a strange young lady." I said, shaking my head. She smiled.

"If you wanted to hurt me you'd have done it by now."

"Touché." I replied.

"Are you alright now?" She asked, looking at me concerned .

"Yes. I'm alright now thank you." I replied, with a little smile. She mlsmiled back and c****d her head.

"What?"

"Nothing. It's just, you're kinda cute." She looked at me with her eyes and with her head still c****d.

I looked back at her and smiled with embarrassment.

"Ha, thanks." I said, finally.

"I'm curious..." I began. "Why is it that you're not afraid of me?" She looked at me and smiled slightly and then waved her hand.

"I've always known there were things out there that were not of this world. I've always believed in the supernatural. Ghosts and alien's. And especially Vampirs" I looked at her curiously with interest.

"Thats very interesting." I started, starting the car.

"May I ask you something personal?" She asked.

"Sure."

"How old are you?" I smiled slightly and laughed a little.

"I'm over two hundred years old." I replied.

"Really?! That's so cool!" I admit I was intrigued by her. She seemed very sweet and innocent. Little did I know there was more to her than meets the eye.
