PYRRHUS~
“You……….” she looked very shocked to see me. Last night, she must have thought I was a drunk man , but I am not drunk, I mean everything that I said.
I stared at her as she pointed that accusing finger at me, our eyes unable to let go.
There was something strange about her that I couldn’t tell but her beauty was one I couldn’t ignore as I remembered how sad and disheveled she looked last night before fainting.
I don’t know what came over me all of a sudden but I was broken to see her so down, I heard it’s her wedding anniversary with a Beta of an inferior pack, but seeing her leaving the house with her bags made me wonder what happened to this beauty.
I felt torn inside of me as she fainted, all I could think about was the possibility of dying very soon, I can’t believe I would be so scared for a woman as this one.
Scared that she might end up like HER. Scared that I will hold her lifeless body in my arms like I did HERS.
“Our Lycan Pyrrhus, the Lycan king of the Lycans clan, The Regal Pack brought you here so put your mind at rest” Dr Leo said to her.
I breathed heavily waiting for what her reply would be. She only stared at me as if she was looking at a god or some kind of warlock. “You….. You are a Lycan King?”
Fear was evident on her face as she asked this.Yes, she might be right, My world was a magnificent one that radiated nothing but power.
I was honoured, and respected by both mortals and beasts. No one dares to make an enemy from me, I am like an immortal god and my existence brings nothing but terror.
Loved my subjects, I hated many and I had rivals who would do anything to bring me down.
I was careful enough and never trusted anyone but I couldn’t believe that I would let my guard down so fast for this Omega.
As I glanced at her, my mind flashed back to last year when it started at Drunk Stature bar…
I sat at the bar sipping a glass of whiskey while wallowing in my own grief, when a girl walked in and the moment she did, I felt something strange, something that I had never felt before or even permitted to feel, it was longing, like a switch pulled me to her.
She looked pale her hair disheveled and no doubt she had been crying the entire time it took her to get here, my gaze pinned on her the entire time as she kept on gulping in shot after shot of tequila and yet I could not comprehend why I was so drawn to this girl who looked so naive and heartbroken.
Unable to resist it anymore, I walked up to her just as she had lost her balance, and my wolf was unable to resist her despite how much I was trying to hold myself and she ruined everything when she kissed me and right there, my wolf took over and badly wanted to make her his.
I slammed her over to my car, sucking, biting, and kissing her lips so passionately as my life depended on it, her hands found their way to my shirt while she began to unbutton them.
“I want you, I want you so badly can you make me yours” She pleaded in between her moans, this girl wasn’t making it any easy for my wolf and I to resist her, as much as I wanted to stop, I could not.
My entire vein was sprouting out, my body hot and intense as I forced the car open with our lips still entwined, I thrust her into the car, and she yelped and pulled my shirt away, and my hands found their way to her blossom, pressing onto them softly.
“You are so beautiful ” I moaned out in a hoarse voice wanting more and more of her.
That was last year, she instigated it first yet she denied it to my face that she never met me before, so sad.
“Dr Leo please take care of her, I will come back for her” I said to the doctor who bowed towards me.
She still looked very shocked as she raised her jaws again, “You….You helped me why? Can you give me some explanations please?”
I nodded towards the doctor and turned to leave the room without any reply to her question.
“Why did you help an Omega like me?” I heard her ask again the moment I was about to step out of the hospital ward which made me stop but didn’t look back.
Seeing me stop seems to give her the liver to continue, “You know it was my wedding anniversary last night right? Why did you still bring me here?”
“You fainted and I brought you to the hosptital, is that a crime?” I replied coldly still not looking back. I can’t seem to control myself while looking at her face.
“You……..” She was about to ask another question but I left without anymore ado.

“My king” Gideon, my right–hand man, walked up to my office right after I entered.
“What is the matter?”
He looked tensed and worried as he asked, “Are you still fantasizing about that strange woman? She’s with Beta Michael probably his mate she can never be the woman you slept with”
I was puzzled and frowned at his words. “His mate? I clearly remember the scent. Even if it was ten years ago, I can never forget her scent. I saw Beta Miceal markign another woman, she’s definitely not his mate”
Gideon walked closer to me.
“Have you forgotten your.… your curse? Even if she’s the one, she can’t stay by your side, have you forgotten?” He asked with bare whispers which made my eyes darkened.
I sighed, “But I can’t get her out of my mind no matter how much I tried to”
“No, Even if we are to take the risk of keeping her by your side, she had Beta Michael, we can’t just jump to conclusion that she was the woman you slept with and if she was, is she your mate? The curse too… A lot is in stake, I think we should just let her go” Gideon said.
After he said this, my heartbeat quickened in panic. I think Gideon is right, I…. I was cursed. Never to have a woman beside me, Never to love any woman because of that SINGLE DAY, But when I tried to go against it and loved and married a woman, I cried at the end. I only wasted her life.
“No, I am not going to waste this one again, Gideon, I will let her go” I said with determination even though the pang of pain I felt.
Gideon nodded and I left the office hurriedly.
