The Civil War Has Ended (for most)
The “Colonel” was a man of many talents. It had been a couple of years since he'd retired from the Confederate Army, but he still went by “Colonel”. Never exactly sure of which side he should be fighting for, he had very strong beliefs about individual rights. Even as a child, he believed every man and woman in America deserved to be treated as equals, in every way. He was in a minority with such thoughts. Other men would scoff at him when he postured that “Women should be able to vote--after all--they are just as smart as men.”
Colonel believed men were happy to have the women teach all ages in school, yet they want to argue about their place in society and in the home.
