Rowan I burst into my father's office without knocking. It was the last in a long line of temporary offices in the south wing, one for each visiting Alpha to use during the duration of the Gathering. My father's office was the largest, as he was the host Alpha, with a vista of windows showing off the landscape behind his desk that were veiled by sheer curtains to curb the sunlight. "Father, we need to talk," I announced, stomping over to the large oak desk and resting my weight on my fists. Alpha Rhys looked over the tops of his reading glasses at me. "Yes, I heard the news. Congratulations, you found your Luna!" He beamed. Hearing the words reminded me of the other beef I had with my father. Maybe Kendria had a point about him. "Yes. Not that it would have mattered to you, would it?"
