Amanda’s pov.
I haven’t done much the past few days, I’m either curled up on my bed lost in thought or I’m hanging around the palace like a ghost.
I haven’t seen Asher much, he made it clear, I don’t come to him unless he calls for me and while I do trust the old Asher, the one with all his memories and that shred of sympathy intact, I don’t trust this one with his cold eyes and irritable character. Such a big difference from the Asher I know.
I fear that if I do dare to go against him and show up in his office or in his room I’ll end up in a situation I’ll have no way out of. Yes, the bond prevents Asher from hurting me.
But it doesn’t prevent him from telling others to hurt me and with that crazed look in his eyes, I have a feeling that it’s not something he’ll hesistate to do.
