Asher’s pov. I bring Amanda back to my room instead of just taking her back to hers. I gave her a minute to protest or shrug my off again, but when she simply walks into my room when I push open the door, I let out a small breath of relief and follow her in. Amanda looks around my room with an odd expression on her face before finally turning to look at me with serious eyes. “You didn’t have to save me you know?” There’s nothing aggressive or harsh about her tone, but it’s clear that she still intends to keep a distance between us stil. “I know,” I go silent at that and we return to awkwardly staring at each other and waiting for the other to talk.
