“The goal is to train her and not actually injure her,” I said to Beta Kierra’s face.
Maya asked me not to address the situation, but I couldn’t ignore it. I didn’t want a repetition of it, so I liked that I was addressing it. I knew she was only trying to help Maya, but she needed to go easy on her.
“I apologize. I didn’t mean to leave her with swollen lips and bruises,” she apologized to me.
I thought about asking her to apologize to Maya, but Fred said there would be no need for that. Nonverbally, I dismissed Beta Kierra, leaving only Maya and me in the ward. Who could have thought Maya would spend time here in the sickbay today?
The Doctor said she would be out of here in no time, and that was good news for me. I didn’t like that she was in pain, but there was nothing
